Explore the property, down through wetland natural reserve leading to the Little Deschutes River, where elk and deer may make an appearance. This home boasts 3 queen beds, 1 king bed a twin over full bunkbed and sleeper sofa providing a flexible home that can host your whole group.
Welcome to our family log cabin, nestled along a picturesque scenic byway that provides big mountain views of Mount Bachelor, Broken Top, and South Sister right from the comfort of your new home away from home.
First Floor:
Step into the heart of our cabin, where a fully stocked kitchen awaits, in addition to all of the standard appliances, we stock a range of spices and all the tools you need for creating memorable family feasts. Don't worry, we've got plenty of dishware, glassware and silverware for those having a larger gathering. We've got kids of our own so we made sure you are covered when it comes to kids plates, cups, silverware, high chairs (2), games, toys and more. Need some space to kick your boots off, hang coats, outdoor gear, or even do laundry? Enter through mudroom for some flexible helpful space for the group that likes to get outdoors and adventure!
The kitchen opens up to a large living and dining area, creating a warm and inviting space for socializing with loved ones. The living area features ample seating, perfect for movie nights or simply kicking back on the reclining leather couch to soak in the panoramic mountain views. You might be saying to yourself, "That must be your favorite spot." Nope! This is: step out into the expansive sunroom, complete with charming string lights, comfortable couches, and an extendable teak dining table for up to 8 guests. Concerned about what outdoor temps might do to your ability to enjoy the sunroom? Don't worry, we've got a heater and portable AC in there so you can enjoy it year round. Whether you're basking in the daylight or stargazing at night, this sunroom is destined to become your favorite retreat.

Second Floor:
Head up the stairs and you will find to your left is the primary bedroom featuring a king size bed, classic desk/workstation, reading corner and private balcony. You may have to fight over this room as you'll get to wake up to mountain views.
For the little ones, the bunk room to the right of the stairs offers a comfortable room with a twin-over-full bunk bed, a sleeper sofa with a queen-size pull-out bed (extra sheets are stocked in the wood chest), and an array of board games to keep the everyone entertained. We keep a pack n play, sound machine and nightlight in the closet for the guests that may need it. The final bedroom upstairs is a large bedroom, with lofted ceilings, big windows (with blackout shades) and two queen size beds.
The bathroom on the second floor adds some character with a jacuzzi bath tub (we stock bath bombs) with a skylight, sink, toilet and unique 70's decor that we couldn't bring ourselves to replace.

Outside:
Kick back on the back porch with rocking chairs, a cozy couch, swivel chairs, a swinging bench, and a fire pit. Don't forget to plug in the string lights when the sun starts heading down! While the scenic byway ensures you'll catch glimpses and sounds of passing vehicles, the vast acreage surrounding the property provides a private and truly special setting.
Head out on a daytime stroll without leaving the property! Explore the private natural wetlands where you'll discover a meadow or follow the path to the Little Deschutes River. While there isn't a dock provided in this protected natural space, this property has extensive river front where you can find access points by walking along the shoreline. In the summer, launch your paddle boards from there or meander through the meadow and discover several hammocks, perfect for an afternoon read or nap. (Hammocks are only out May-Sept to keep them out of harsh weather)
Keep in mind that access to some areas of the wetland may be limited at times, particularly during late spring as local snowpack melts.
You will have complete access throughout the home and property. The exception would be the detached garage.

This neighborhood is full of large lots and young local families. It offers a local feel with enough space to away from the tourism and congestion of Sunriver which is just 5 minutes away.

-If you do wish to use this property as a venue for a large event or commercial photography, please reach out to us with a specific inquiry. We would be happy to accommodate and will allow these on a case by case basis. Additional fees and deposit may apply.
If guests elect to go for a walk and explore the wetlands natural reserve, please be mindful of the neighbor's property line. These are marked with stakes and guests should remain on the rental property parcel. If guests have additional questions regarding what area is available to explore, a map will be provided.
