"Not happy with renting through VRBO or Vacasa- so confused- kept getting alerts from both. 2 problems- Didn’t know the pricing fluctuated (never rented through them before) so it was beyond insulting to get offers from them to rent at a later day and see that the average price was less than 1/2 of what I ended up paying (off season). The other problem for me was that I could never directly speak to the owners via text or email to ask specific questions and these apps use chat bots to answer...

"We have been staying in North Truro for 30 years. With the kids in college, we decided to take the dog (non-shredding) for once and find a place that was pet friendly. This can be risky with allergies for me, but the cottage was so clean and open that I had no issues whatsoever. Great location, nice amenities, and just the right size for 2 people. "The property description was inaccurate. There is no dishwasher as described in the listing. The washer/dryer and grill were underhouse behind heavy garage door and down outdoor slope to access. Of particular concern was the state of the king and queen size beds. Both were extremely hard, with mattress springs that could be felt. Beds need replacing. "This is a great house, nice and large. it worked well for us as it has a bedroom and full bath on the main floor and there was concern about some of us going up and down stairs to the other bedrooms. Our stay was short, and we didn't do much cooking, so I cannot speak to how well stocked the kitchen is. There was an issue with the furnace when we first arrived, but the owner was very prompt with getting someone out to the house, and the heat was great after that."
