"Great place to spend two days with family from out of town that only sees each other once or twice a year. Teens loved the ping pong table and hot tub (adults too!), house was very clean and Holli was very responsive. Overall highly recommend. "

"We rented this property for Bridge Day Weekend. The property was clean and accurately described by the seller. The gym room was well equipped and the hot tub was fantastic. The owner was quick to reapond to questions and very helpful."

"We came from Indiana for a conference in Beckley. The house was Great and just as explained. We had 4 adults and 5 kids and there was more than enough room for eqch of us. Nice yard and pool for the kids to play. We'll definitely be back. "

"My son and I spent 3 nights in Beckley while touring New River Gorge National Park and coal country. The downstairs unit was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. The hot tub was delightful. "

"My daughters and I found the house to be very nice. The snacks on the dining room table were certainly not expected and a nice welcome. The only thing that I saw that might need a little attention is the railing on the front steps. It is a little wobbly - needs a little attention. Otherwise, it was a great house for us."

"Needs professional cleaning of floors (filthy)(had to call for broom and mop); located next to a very loud bar; sirens every night; TV not user friendly; Alexa command for lighting; electronic door entry keypad malfunctioned and door knob had to be sawed off by owner; owner was very responsive; the rental unit was centrally located to all of our vacation actvities."

"Booked for a relaxing birthday vacation away from busy life in NY. The day of our arrival (hours before arriving) we were informed that the hot tub isn't working and won't be for at least another week. This was very disappointing because the hot tub was the only reason we booked here. We made the best of it and enjoyed the New River Gorge and it's many hikes. "Started each day with a beautiful sunrise and ended with star filled skies. The property is quiet and peaceful. The deck was nice to sip our wine after hiking and exploring the area. We enjoyed our stay at the Mountain Retreat. It was clean and we had everything we needed to be comfortable while away from home. "

"Took wife and both adult kids for a long weekend for my wife's birthday. Great time. Joe gives you full access to his little slice of heaven. No horses in December for us but tons of piece and quiet. Make the 10 mile drive to Babcock state forest. If you like tattoos get ahold of wolf sing ink in mt hope. 25 minute drive from cabin and this guy is top notch in the business. Joe we'll be back very soon. "

"This cabin was wonderful and the booking was easy. The host Billie was also excellent with communication. It is a slight challenge to get up the hill to the cabin but as long as you have 4 wheel or AWD you should be fine. My teens and I loved our stay and would definitely stay again."

"My friends and I were rockclimbing in the area and stayed here. The cabin was well stocked and very clean. Perfect place if you want to explore the area but have a relaxed place to stay and recharge between adventures."
