"We had to book this at the last minute due to another booking that was NOT okay, and we were pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome we received. We were even upgraded to a studio, which was such a relief after our previous experience. Brownhill Creek is set deep in a valley, with the most beautiful surroundings. "We loved our stay at Houghs Cabin. We loved the well appointed cabin, the cleanliness, the quality of the linen and all aspects of it. The garden was a delight for us and our dog.Communication leading up to ourstay and also after we settled in was excellent.And such a peaceful and pretty aspect. "Avoid this hotel. It has no respect whatsoever for its customers. I stayed in room 607, and on the same floor, an all-night party took place—noisy, with people screaming in the corridors, making it impossible for anyone else to sleep. I politely asked the guests to lower their voices, called and spoke twice with the reception, all to no effect. The management showed total disregard for the comfort and rights of other guests. I didn’t expect Australians to behave in such a gross and selfish manner, nor did I expect a hotel to tolerate this level of disrespect. The result: a miserable sleepless night. I might as well have slept on a park bench for the same outcome."
