"Loved the quirkiness and history associated with this hotel. It is a fabulous location and swimming in the (heated) outdoor pool before breakfast was such a treat. Great breakfast too! The staff are friendly and helpful. It is a shame that the owners are allowing the fabric of the property to deteriorate as they want to knock it down and build something huge and modern. I think the main building should be listed and hope to return to this lovely spot before the developers get their way. "

"Lovely stay at the Pines. All staff were friendly and polite. The room was large, comfortable and having patio doors to the garden we were able to get lots of fresh air. The walk up and down the steps to the beach was a challenge each day but there is the easier road option. Breakfast was very good. Overall a great stay."

"I was expecting a room but what we got was more of an apartment. Very pleasantly surprised ! The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was fantastic. My only negative was that the room could've done with a bit more ventilation as it got very warm at night. I would definitely recommend anyone, particularly dog owners to stay here. We will return."

"We had a lovely stay at the Dorset Golf Resort Hotel. The scenery & surrounding areas are stunning & we had some wonderful walks & runs through the woods. We had a couple days where we ran out of toilet paper as it wasn't topped up but luckily we had a couple rolls in the car & when I spoke to reception they resolved it straight away. The biggest downside I'd say is the limited selection for vegetarians, particularly for dinner, but it's a short drive away from some good pubs so this wasn't an...

"Room was very clean and perfect sized for my family. Only one problem at night , my next door neighbour was so loud when they were talking, even we could hear clearly their conversations. Its not Red Lion's fault. People need to consider others. The host was very very friendly and professional as well. We had supper and breakfast. Both were very good. We enjoyed the food. "

"Everything about the guest house was superb, including the en-suite bedroom and the breakfast. The hosts were so helpful and friendly, they even made our dog welcome with dog bowl, blanket, towel and treats in the bedroom. It was the perfect end to out fortnight's walking holiday on the South West coastal path and we would certainly stay at Taunton House again if we ever returned to the area. "
