Lake Cabin in beautiful wooded setting overlooking crystal clear lake.

Located near Red River Gorge, Kentucky, this cabin sits on a gorgeous 5 acre lake in the Deerwater Lake gated community. There is a shared dock available. Bring your own canoe or kayaks. You can rent canoe paddles from our office if necessary. Lake is great for swimming and fishing.

This cabin has 3 BR / 3 Full Baths, an outdoor 5-6 person hot tub, gas grill, fire pit with bench seats and has a wrap around deck with outdoor dining and seating. It has central heat/ac, stone gas fireplace, satellite TV/VCR/DVD/CD player, fiber optic Wi-Fi, kitchen with dishwasher refrigerator, oven range microwave and all kitchenware for a weekend getaway or extended stay. The dining table is massive and will easily seat everyone with space to spare. The main level master BR has a queen bed and a private full bath with shower stall. The second BR has 2 queen beds, and the third BR has one queen bed and 2 twin beds for a sleeping capacity of 10 people. The 2nd and 3rd bedroom are on the top level and share a full bath with shower stall. The third full bath has a shower stall and serves the main level. It has a full sized washer and dryer, perfect for extended stays!

Overall, it was good. We were not aware. It was a shared lake with other properties. This wasn’t readily apparent in the listing. The listing said that there was a canoe and the canoe had a hole in it and wasn’t functional. They did not tell us that we needed to get paddles from the office where we picked up our keys, the toilet in the laundry room did not function properly. Evelyn was too heavy for the women to lift even with the help of the lid lifter. Hot tub was dingy when we arrived cleared up with some pouring however could’ve been better. That were very hard and uncomfortable for the most part. Otherwise it’s a very cozy cabin.

Gross.
I would never recommend or rent here or with this company again. It was gross. Mold in the bathrooms, grout never been cleaned, cockroaches in the kitchen, mold filled washing machine, hand rail hadn’t been cleaned maybe ever, finger prints all over the walls and doors. The house would be beautiful if cleaned. I spent over 1K for two nights and can’t believe how disgusting it was. I should’ve read the previous reviews. Will never go here again.

Lovely cabin in the Red River Gorge
We booked this cabin for a weekend following a youth mission trip in Pike County, Kentucky. We had a group of nine, and this cabin suited our needs perfectly. There was ample room for all of us, and three bathrooms certainly helped with managing showers and such! Everyone enjoyed evenings around a fire or in the hot tub. The cabin was clean and the management company was easy to work with. I would recommend this location without hesitation!

it was ok
The property needs to be updated. The carpets are dirty and some of the linens are stained. The kitchen needs updated and the bathrooms are just minimal. The mattresses need updated. The cabin itself is ok. Theres a nice deck and the windows are nice. The living room furniture is nice.

Great lake property
The lake was great, such a fun time! The cabin was more run down than expected, and the mattresses were not the best, but overall everything was pretty good. The staff was excellent and the access to the lake was great. The kids had the best time! We very much enjoyed our stay!

Mattresses were terrible. Clean, but all mattresses felt like the middle was missing. You kept rolling into the middle of the bed. Showers were very small. Other than that nice place.

Needs a Deep Cleaning
Overall our stay was great, but there needs to be some major deep cleaning done. The fans were thick with dust and the doors/cabinets/banister railing/ baseboards looked like they have never been wiped down. One of the beds upstairs needs to be replaced as it sagged in the center so bad that both people that slept in the bed kept gravitating to the center making it an uncomfortable sleep for both. One of the French doors on the porch is starting to sag and was super hard to use/open. A side from some deep cleaning and a few repairs/replacements our overall stay was great. It accommodated our needs, our children had a blast swimming/fishing in the lake and lots of wonderful memories were made.

I am sending you a letter in the morning .... loved the cabin ..... just some notes for you to be aware of...... I sent pics on Sat. per the office lady. Thank you for being so accommodating with our reservations. Also .... there was a wonderful lady with 2 kids that brought in things from our car. Just such a nice thing to do!

All beds need replaced and needs new mattress covers. Main level bedroom we could not use due to looking like the bed had bed bugs.
