Cozy Lakefront Chalet - On A Large Lake - Private Dock w/Boats

This is our family's chalet that we would like to share with others seeking the Innsbrook Resort experience. We grew up at my grandfather's house on Lake St Gallen. Having a young family, we decided to buy the chalet and share it with other families which is what makes this possible for us!

The chalet was renovated in 2020 and sits on Lake St Gallen. It has a new kitchen and is well stocked with cookware and utensils. There is also a new commercial ice machine installed in the kitchen so you don't have to worry about running out filling up your cooler. We also have Spectrum with FanDuel for Blues/Cardinals games!

It is a flat lot with a short walk to the lake where you will find a private dock, gravel beach with a fire-pit, and a couple canoes (w/life jackets) included with the rental. The lake is one of our favorites in all of Innsbrook, boasting ~50 acres, a fantastic tree line, and tons of fish. Just a few hundred feet South on the lake is a beach that is great to relax on and let your kids play in the water. This is a dog friendly home allowing dogs (we have a large Bulldog so no size limit!).

Our chalet has three bedrooms and two baths. The master has a king sized bed on the main level with a full sized bed in the loft and a queen bed with two twin beds in the upstairs bedroom.

This Chalet has the old Innsbrook "Treehouse" feel with modern updates throughout. We also have Wifi included that can handle video and working remotely.

We had a great time at the cabin. Everything was just as it is pictured in the listing. Two granddaughters each caught a fish, which was a memorable moment. The grandkids especially enjoyed being able to hop in the canoe and be taxied down to the beach at the end of the lake. They spent a lot of time just hanging out in the water by the dock. The small retaining wall at the water's edge made it easy for the kids to get in and out. We did it all, fished, swam, hiked, made smores. The perfect summer weekend. The only time we turned on the TV was right before bed so the kids could settle down. GPS led us right to the driveway. Very nice. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Hideaway Just Outside The City

Our family of 5 recently stayed at Doug and Amyā€™s cabin. We had the best time! The cabin is the perfect size to keep track of the kids but big and open enough to have space and not feel like you are crawling on top of each other.The walk to the lakefront is a gentle slope so when you forget the sunscreen or extra koosie itā€™s not a chore to walk back and get it.The cabin offers plenty amenities to keep everyone entertained with its location ideal within Innsbrook to let it feel isolated and quiet but close proximity to community facilities so itā€™s a quick pivot to take advantage of multiple activities to keep kids entertained.

Perfect Stay

Our trip did not disappoint. The property is clean and well appointed. The property location on the lake made for great fishing, possibly the best lake in the resort. The property owner was a great communicator. We had everything we needed. The children loved the ice creamery. The other people at the resort were friendly and courteous. The restaurant was delicious and relaxing.

What a great week

Loverly place in the woods right on the lake

Doug is a fantastic host. Communication back and forth was great. The house was a cozy retreat. We had so much fun swimming in the lake and using the canoes and kayaks. We also used the firepit to make smores. When we wanted a change, we went to the nearby community swimming pool. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for family fun in Innsbrook.

Fun getaway

The cabin had everything we needed and was very comfortable! We loved drinking coffee on the beach, eating on the patio and had smores around the campfire every night. We brought our own SUPā€™s and the boys had a great time taking the canoes down to the swim platform. We also visited one of the beaches on the bigger lake and the swimming pool. Beautiful spot!

We picked this location because it was between family in STL and the wedding in Hermann. This house was perfect. Clean, well appointed and attentive host. The lake location was perfect for a quiet relaxing weekend. Highly recommend.

Great family vacation spot

We had such a great time our grandkids are already talking about when we go back. The chalet is very comfortable and cozy and the outdoor spaces are even better. The lake is big enough we all enjoyed it but small enough you can watch the kids kayak to the beach and back. We used a few of Innsbrookā€™s facilities, golf and the pool but mostly we were content to hang around the dock to play in the lake. Thanks Doug and Amy for such a great vacation spot

Relaxing stay in a cozy cabin

My husband and I enjoyed our three night retreat at Hayes Hideaway! We spent lots of time canoeing, fishing, and swimming. The TV set up is also great with an awesome soundbar. Kitchen was perfectly stocked with everything we needed. We booked last minute so we appreciate them accommodating us. The only thing we were missing was firewood (but lots of opportunities for us to buy it). Would have been great to have that ready to go for us, but completely understand given the fact we booked last minute. Thanks for a great stay!
