Our rustic, but comfortable cabin in the charming village of Winter Harbor welcomes you with an expansive open ocean view from the front windows. We like to say that it is a $10,000 cabin with a $10,000,000 dollar view! The cabin is small but quaint and well-furnished on a private property. The view is nothing short of spectacular and features Mark Island Lighthouse and Acadia National Park's, Schoodic Peninsula coastline.
You can watch the Winter Harbor Yacht Club's sailing races, cruise ships crossing all hours of day/night and lobster boats hauling their traps (as a caution, sunrise comes early in the north, so lobster fisherman begin their day early; you will hear the diesel engines of their boats early each morning). The property offers a sea rose lined path to a private rocky beach. The cabin has been in the family for years and was initially built as a picnic spot for the original owner. The space is small, approximately 400sf for the cabin with an attached 500sf deck that faces the ocean. The space has an open front room that serves as the living room, dining room and kitchen. A small bedroom area with one full-size bed and a bathroom with a tiled shower. Please bear with us as we continue to work on the interior space; we’re trying to make improvements each season! We look forward to hosting you.
