The property manager waited the night before my stay at around 8 pm to let me know that they couldn't let me in the next day because something was broken in the suite. From their profile, I could see that they had similar unit in the same building that from Vrbo were available within the same dates, but they refused to accomodate me, then proceed to asking me to cancel the booking which was not refundable. I called Vrbo customer service were a rep told me they were the one that have to cancel it, fisrt because it is their responsibility, and second because otherwise I will not get refunded. The owner refused and the rep had to escalate the matter. On top of that, Vrbo did not help me find another place, or offer any kind of compensation. I understand now why they are not a threat to other competitors...
