"We come to portland often, and we absolutely love to stay at the benson. It's a beautiful historic hotel, with lots of amenities and a great staff. Easy parking across the street. And lots of shops near by. There's also a lot of restaurants when then walking distance and the food downtown is exceptional. I highly suggest A stay at this beautiful hotel."

"Ignoring the human elephant sleeping in the bunk above me, The Society Hotel's bunk room is possibly the nicest hostel I've ever stayed in (and I'm well seasoned). Some may be wary with 24 beds in a single room and triple towered beds, but you'd never know you were sharing with that many. The semi-private curtained beds feel like memory foam mattresses, all linen and a selection of size towels is provided as well as other necessities like toiletries and ear plugs. "Room was clean, beds comfortable. Lovely large kitchen with dishes, large refrigerator, full stove. The host was very friendly and helpful and recommended a fantastic restaurant (Sandee Thai) and some good hiking trails. The hotel is right downtown, fun for walking around. The heater was noisy and bathroom floor very cold, otherwise loved it. There are nice air b-n-b's around but loved being downtown in charming Silverton. "This was my second visit to the Nines and the team here is absolutely amazing. My flight was delayed by 9 hours and their STELLAR concierge, Cruz, arranged transportation for me, dinner to my room as I arrived at 10:30pm and left a beautiful flower arrangement. She is incredible and made me feel so welcome! On top of that, great room, great food, great coffee! Awesome location in downtown Portland. "
