Disappointment
We were scheduled to arrive on January 1 and notified the rental agent and arrived on the afternoon of January 2. We were told by the person cleaning the house that we weren’t supposed to be there till 4 o’clock and she couldn’t continue cleaning. The floors were filthy. We had to purchase our own cleaning supplies. No vacuum. Agent located in owners closet after several calls.. The “pool” was oversized hot tub. Heat not working. Many calls to agent revealed propane empty. Spa too cold for use until 1/17. The mattress in the front bedroom was in poor condition. The spring on the left side was protruding. The lamp on the left side of the couch was broken.We had to purchase cleaning solutions for floor.. I placed several calls to the agent and did not receive a return phone call. It took about four days to get response that were satisfactory.There were no extra blankets and the evenings were in the low 30s. Mark located one in owners closet, Only one set of towels per bathroom. While we had a washing machine, it was inconvenient to have to wash towels every 3 days. In summary, for the price we paid, I would have expected A 1 service. The issues I experienced exhibit mediocre service and mediocre effort in preparing the home.
