Welcome to the brand new Eagles Nest at Elk Highlands property on Big Mountain in Whitefish Montana! This classic lodge style home is the perfect spot for your summer or winter getaway, nestled in a private and very secluded neighborhood right on the mountain this is what Montana vacations are all about.

When you walk inside the Eagles Nest at Elk Highlands you'll be amazed by this true mountain log home, ensuring you and your family will have a vacation to remember. This home is designed to provide that family closeness and togetherness with a charm and modern amenities providing all the comforts you could want.

This beautiful home has 4 bedrooms and sleeps 8 very comfortably in beds and can sleep another guest in a twin Murphy pull down bed located in the office. The lower level of this home has 3 of the bedrooms with 2 queen beds and 2 twin beds. The lower level main bathroom has an ensuite full bathroom with full tile walk in shower and heated floors. The 2 other bedrooms on the lower level share a full bathroom which also has a full tile walk in shower and heated floors. The lower level also has plenty of seating, a game table and fireplace for family game nights and get-togethers. The main level won't disappoint either with huge vaulted ceilings and windows galore so you can see that nature abounds around this home. The fully stocked kitchen has everything you could want to create those family meals with stainless steel appliances and 2 sinks. There is a large dining table and also bar top seating to comfortably seat 10 guests. The main level also has a theater room with a large smart TV and surround sound speakers and theater style seating. And, just in case you have to bring a little work with you, there is a full office with desk, monitor and printer. The laundry room across the hall has a full size front load washer and dryer for those extended stays where a little laundry is necessary. Now, let's go upstairs and check out the expansive master bedroom and bathroom. The upstairs bathroom has a king bed and sitting area, huge walk in closet and full ensuite bathroom with claw foot soaking tub, dual sinks and giant walk in shower. The entire front of this home has a wrap around deck with a grill where you can spend lots of time enjoying those beautiful Montana mornings or evenings. This house has it all!

In the winter you can access the private ski way trail system that takes you to a private lift for this neighborhood. This trail is right across the street from the house and you can walk there or ski there, whichever is easiest for you. The ski trail takes you to a lift which will take you to a landing which allows you to access the Home Again trail system which will take you all the way to Base Lodge if you like. In the summer you are just a 2 minute drive to Base Lodge where you can enjoy all of the summer activities the mountain has to offer, including, gondola rides to the summit, mountain biking, hiking, tree adventure, alpine slide and more! And after a long day of skiing or winter activities you can rest and relax in the brand new 6 person hot tub that was recently installed.

Just a 5 minute drive away is the historic city of Whitefish. If you enjoy shopping, this is the place for you! There are many Clothing, Souvenir and Antique shops for you to enjoy. Take pleasure in some of the finest restaurants, bars, breweries, and distilleries that the Flathead Valley has to offer! There are fun events including music, theater, and festivals year-round! City Beach at Whitefish Lake is also only 10 minutes away! You have easy access to spectacular hiking, mountain biking, golfing, water sports, fly fishing, whitewater rafting, and all the Flathead Valley has to offer! Whitefish is home to beautiful Whitefish Mountain Resort! The resort is well known for a pleasant variety of runs, short waits in line, and for its consistently good snow conditions, on average 300 inches a year! Praised in National Ski magazine as the #3 place to ski in the country!

When the snow melts, Whitefish Mountain Resort becomes home to thrilling zip lines and an alpine slide, world-class downhill, and cross-country mountain biking, and the unique Walk in the Treetops. *Things to note: You must be 25 years or older to rent this property. Maximum occupancy at all times is 10 guests and 3 vehicles unless otherwise approved. There is no partying or any loud noise or music and there are quiet hours from 10:00 PM until 8:00 AM each and every day. We have $500 first-time noise complaint violation. Double that for a second violation and immediate eviction applies. No smoking or vaping or pets are allowed on the property.

*Important Update Regarding Glacier National Park. Vehicle reservations are required to enter the park mid May through late September.

The Perfect Ski Home
My wife and I along with our 2 adult children and friend stayed in this beautiful home January 3-8th 2024. The home has a well designed layout perfect for family gatherings and private spaces for relaxing. The chef’s kitchen was very well equipped with all your cooking needs. The new hot tub is large and powerful. Snow was cleared from the drive daily, the Elk Highland neighborhood is very close to Whitefish. There is a ski trail to the Village, but the trail was not yet open due low snow conditions. Driving and parking at Whitefish Village or Base Lodge was convenient. I do recommend an All Wheel Drive vehicle, the roads are cleared, but still icy. The town of Whitefish is an easy 20 minute drive. We preordered our groceries from Safeway and picked up on the way to the house from the airport. A perfect home for a great ski vacation.
