"Went up to celebrate my son’s 21st birthday. Both youngest kids had a half hour drive from Ferris State University. My oldest had to work in Big Rapids. My parents live an hour and ten minutes away. Perfect location on the lake to have a small gathering for a day. Hiking trails nearby. Spent a night alone in the peaceful morning waking up to a beautiful lake and breeze. Plan to return. "

We’ve never stayed somewhere with the same “specialized amenities!” Thoughtful extras were provided by the host; welcome snacks, coffee with creamers and flavored syrups, laundry pods, toiletries…. Would stay again and recommend this property to anyone looking for a special night away! "

"The campground is being updated as it used to be a church camp. Cabin #1 is a cinder block cabin with 3 bedrooms, one shower/toilet/sink room and a common area for relaxing and eating. It was well decorated and comfortable. It has A/C and a couple fans. They thought of everything when they updated this place. The building with the restrooms is also a comfortable place to play games or watch movies. We were able to kayak and enjoy the river easily. We are looking forward to coming back again."

"Absolutely superb perfectly prepared and maintained mini-mansion in the woods! Easy wading, lots of fish. Hard to leave at the end of our stay."

"Yes, the property is small but there is room outside to enjoy the view. One big cavet .. in my opinion, this is a summer property. The floor is concrete and there is no central heading. The owner has a few rugs on the floor and a large space heater. It takes a good hour to heat the space. We left early as we were there in mid-October. The person who cleans it is lovely and very communicative. We would go again only in summer. "

"Stayed here for a couple of days to spend the weekend fishing for steelhead on the Muskegon River. Accommodations were great; ample space for my husband and I, well stocked, clean and fun decor! Cozy and cute. The fishing was great too! Will definitely return."

"Very nice and very cozy. Functional, quite, and clean. The kitchen is well equipped, not everything but enough to make due. No need to make calls during the week because something was not working or had broke. Fall colors where peak, playing golf on the Royal was superb, and kayaking on Lake of the Clouds magical. Would stay again."

"We stayed here to fish and enjoy some downtime with my daughter and father and it was wonderful. The cottage is cozy and very well stocked with things you’d need for a stay without having to worry! It was a very quiet area and has direct access to the river, which we loved. It was great for my father who is getting older and doesn’t get around as well as he used to. "This home was very comfortable for our family. Our 4 year old grandson loved running around the property exploring, fishing, catching frogs, having a fire, etc. The location is private and peaceful. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The kayaks and canoes were great to get out on the lake for fishing. The lake neighbors were mostly quiet, a few speed boats periodically but not intrusive. Overall a great retreat for us!"

"Had a wonderful stay in peak autumn with our young kids. The cottage felt like home. I loved that the property has a beautiful view on the hill but a nice flat spot of lawn for the kids to run on at the lake. We enjoyed taking the paddle boat around the island. Quiet area, very peaceful. Clean comfortable living quarters. Thank you for sharing your cottage!"

"We could not have been happier with our stay at this cabin. Property was very clean, warm and welcoming. Beds were comfortable, and kitchen well stocked. We loved getting up and drinking our coffee on the deck looking at the lake watching the swans. The fall colors were incredible. Property manager was great at checking in and readily available whether by email or texting. You are close to many wonderful destinations, Ludington 40 minutes and Traverse City 90 minutes."
