Tucked away in a secluded residential community away from high-tourist areas, this bright and cheery home is perfect for your next visit to the Washington coast! A two-bedroom, one-bath home, this singular retreat is an ideal place for you to kick up your feet and enjoy the silence. You'll be able to take in the great Northwest views, rain or shine while grilling on the partially covered deck. The high tide nearly reaches the back of the deck which overlooks the harbor with views of the snow-capped Olympic mountains (and Mt. Rainier on clear days). Anyone wanting to see nature at its finest would love this location and birdwatching at this property is a dream, especially during migration periods. Lucky guests will even see a bald eagle in one of the nests located next to the house and there is a small landing strip behind the home where you can occasionally spy vintage planes taking off. You can also find sea lions, deer, and other wildlife, not to mention spectacular sunrises. At the end of the street, there is a small go-kart track for kids (seasonal) and near the docks, guests can buy fresh seafood directly from the fishing vessels that caught it. At small boutiques, people may purchase souvenirs, fresh-made fudge, saltwater taffy, ice cream, kites, and local artwork.
What's nearby:
If you want to enjoy more than the beach, this home is located near two state parks: Twins Harbor and Westport Light. There are also plenty of activities year-round including the Crab Races & Feed in April, Pirate Daze in June, and plenty to watch and see on the Fourth of July. You're also just a short drive from the gorgeous Westport Lighthouse as well as just two miles from the harbor. There, you can board your chartered boat for a day of fishing or grey whale-watching (in season) and get a post-boat dinner or drinks at one of the restaurants there. Finally, don't forget your surfboard as you'll want to hit Half Moon Bay - one of the very few spots in the Northwest where you can surf.
