GROSS - smelt like cats - & someone was on our couch when we came home
CATS all over the property, smelled so bad of urine and hair. We than walked in the home after leaving for 1 hr to find someone on the COUCH with our stuff in the place. He said he was the "grandson" and he had friends coming over, told him to leave. He than walked BACK in after 3 mins saying he "forgot something". So not only coming in once but twice. Told the woman we were leaving - no I am sorry, or ANYTHING. Took 2 days for a refund. Never communicated. RIDICULOUS. DISGUSTING. NEVER STAY HERE.

Wildy Unprofessional
Wildly Unprofessional We checked in on October 7th, we received no information prior to our arrival. Luckily the property is connected to the main house where there are full time tenants that we were able to ask what the code was to enter the unit. We were told on October 8th how to enter the home by Karen. Upon entry into the unit, the smell of cat pee was overwhelming. Karen says that no cats are allowed in the unit itself, but clearly the tenants in the main house (which is only separated from the unit by a door) have cats that they do not clean up after regularly. The overwhelming smell caused me to have a major allergic reaction as I’m very allergic to cats. The unit is not very “private” at all. You can hear everything going on in the main house, the backyard is shared and the tenants can see you through the back windows. The pool is dirty. We had to cut our trip short and leave on October 8th due to the state mandatory evacuation because of Hurricane Milton. I requested a partial refund because of this from Karen. We agreed on $250, and she asked for my cashapp (at the time I didn’t know VRBO frowned upon third party payments) I provided her with my cashapp and then I didn’t hear anything from her for 4 days (10/12). I contacted VRBO support to let them know about the issue and request the refund. From there they asked me to contact her and ask her to respond to their email. I called her on Sunday (10/13), throughout that day I was on the phone with her at least 6

HOST NEVER PROVIDED ACCESS
We had a confirmed reservation. The day of check in we messaged the host 3 times and never received check in instructions. Finally we called VRBO and on the line for 1.5 hours, never could reach the host. AFTER DRIVING WITH A BOAT, FOOD AND DOG WE HAD NO WHERE TO STAY AND VRBO WAS NO HELP!!!!!

Superb
My granddaughter and I were on a college tour and had an appointment in Palm Beach for Monday, June 24, 2024. I wanted us to have an opportunity to check out the area before our college tour appointment so booked this location based on pictures and previous review. It did not disappoint! The pictures were accurate,on the VRBO website, especially for the interior of the apartment. It was lovely and clean. Very roomy for two people. Loved sitting outside by the water (lagoon or canal - I don't know) and pool. My granddaughter was anxious to use her paddle board so was out on the water late in the afternoon one evening. The location is convenient to several beaches and John D McArthur State park - another location that is great for canoeing, kayaking, or paddle boarding. We met the hostess, who lives on the property, with her fur babies the first night and felt immediately at ease and comfortable. I would definitely stay again and have recommended it to my daughter and son-in-law if my granddaughter ends up going to college in the area.

Needs some TLC
This property has a ton of potential. Unfortunately, it needs a lot of work to reach that potential. The positives were the location was great, our host, Karen, was very nice, the kitchen had some nice upgrades and the views were very pretty. The negatives were that the property needs a professional cleaning. The shower/ toilet area bordered on the verge of gross. The tub had mold all over it and just felt dirty. The windows desperately need to be replaced and the smell of cat urine was overwhelming at times. When we got home we had to wash everything and we felt like we smalled like cat urine everywhere we went. There were a few other maintenance issues, which were addressed quickly. The pool was dirty and i did not feel comfortable swimming in it, which was disappointing because we specifically wanted a place with a pool. Granted, if the unit was up to the level it should have been we probably would have paid more for it than we did but the smell was the only thing we couldn't get passed. Would not stay here again.

Definitely not clean or well maintained. The living room/kitchen area smelled like a litter box. There was a camera on top of the kitchen cabinets. Black mold in the corner of the living room. Ants crawling on the kitchen counter which got into our snacks and we had to throw them all out. There were crumbs and cat hair under the kitchen table. The shower/tub had mold all around the tub and window sill. There was dust built up on top of the ceiling fan in the bedroom. The dead bolt on the door did not work and the pool deck needed a good pressure washing. In the driveway, there was a camper that someone was living in and smoking weed. Not sure how this place has such good reviews.

Great location - perfect for a couple!
Karen was a great hostess - always available when needed and super friendly. The apartment is off of her main house and provided everything we needed. Being on the water was also nice. We fished and sat out on the dock a few times - very relaxing. The pool was nice to jump in on a hot day. the location was prefect - close to so many things! Thank you for your hospitality, Karen.

Cozy & Clean Unit with Waterview
Unit was very clean with cozy decor and was quite large for just the two of us. I would have liked to have taken the bedroom walk-in closet home with me! Had our coffee every morning by the lake, under the tiki hut. Karen was very nice & recommended a very nice park for me to ride my bike & was very accommodating with bike storage when not in use. A restaurant just a couple doors down did not look so great on the outside but had the best food! In fact was my favorite meal of the whole trip. If you don’t mind staying in the same unit as the owner, this is a good choice.

Needs a little TLC and maintenance
A few areas need attention: moldy caulking in the shower, gutter joints in the tiki hut area are leaking creating mold. We did not use the pool due to alge. We had to put a beach towel over the outdoor couch due to pet hair. Pet waste in the lawn area outside the pool. A little TLC and maintenance would make this a cute place to stay.

Great house, beautiful view, close to amenities!
We enjoyed our stay at Karen's VRBO. It rained or was overcast the whole time we were there, but we hung out on the patio under the Tiki roof, and it was lovely! It was within walking distance of a couple neat places. We ate at Debra's Cafe, which had excellent breakfast. We also enjoyed espresso and freshly-baked Cuban pastries at Tulipan. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately not as nice as expected
Pictures looked great but not as good in person. Bathroom was dirty with spots on the toilet, and old bar of soap in the shower and a loofah. Didn’t seem to be cleaned prior to our arrival. The deadbolt does not work and lacked a feeling of security while sleeping. Pool needed cleaning but was too hot to use anyway. The owner was out a couple of times and was nice. Not a bad place. Great location, just not worth 5 stars. Maybe something has changed recently???

Great value and Location
We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend getaway. The property was tidy and well kept. We sat outside and really enjoyed the nice ocean breeze. Karen the host was very personable and friendly. The apt was super clean, comfortable and had everything you would need. The beach chairs and umbrella came in handy when we visited nearby Juno Beach. Location was key to our choice of staying here. We visited McCarthy’s wildlife sanctuary (25 minutes away) and Jupiter Lighthouse. Lots of restaurants in close proximity. We enjoyed Sara’s kitchen for breakfast and Frigate’s waterfront for dinner.

Great spot
We loved our stay here. The place was clean and had everything we needed for the week. The patio was where we spent most of our time as we read on the couch, swam in the pool, and fished off the dock. Lots of catfish while fishing which was expected. We did catch some Grunt and a Baracuda. Saw some Mahi Mahi, Snook, and Sheepshead from the dock as well. While we loved our stay, know that there are dogs on the property. They made their way back to us at various times through the week and we heard them occasionally barking inside. The small dogs pretty much left us alone. The bigger dog barked at us but the owner came out to get him pretty quickly. We are generally okay with dogs but be aware in case someone in your party is wary. My one complaint is that the dogs used the grass around the patio to “do their business” so there were some times where it smelled, especially in the heat of the afternoon. We did use the hose to spray it away and that helped a little. Otherwise it was a great stay. Karen wasn’t able to be in town but she was quick to respond to our messages any time we needed something and her family was helpful in her stead.

Exactly what we were looking for
The pictures and description on Vrbo accurately represent the property. We were greeted by the owner upon our arrival, very pleasant and informative about the area. The location was very convenient to the cruise ship we were taking. Being able to stay here allowed us to start our vacation prior to getting on the ship.
