"Beautiful neighborhood close to everything. Well appointed home! Quiet and comfortable. Would suggest a few blinds on windows in main living area as homes are close together and did not feel comfortable for privacy purposes. No soap for bathing or dishwashing items where available upon arrival. Just went to store to purchase. Shower stopped working in 2nd bathroom but tub was available. Did not call maintenance for this. Had problems getting temperature comfortable due to high tec thermostat....

"Took my wife here as a surprise birthday getaway. I had made a cake and wanted to make sure it was able to be chilled prior to check-in. The hosts allowed me to meet them prior to check-in and kept it cold so we could enjoy it that night! The breakfast in the fridge was also a very nice touch."

"This was a great landing spot for a family reunion in the area. The cabin was as described in the listing. It was clean, cozy, and well-stocked for a weekend stay. The cabin was just right for two adults and a toddler, who only needed a little help going up and down the stone steps. Location was terrific, would certainly recommend!"

"My husband, 6-year-old daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this property and the amenities. The cabin was clean and very well stocked with linens, bedding, cleaning supplies, toiletries, kitchen utensils, and the air conditioning worked great. We loved using the hot tub and the fire pit and fishing in the little pond! It Is close to lake lure and other attractions in the area like zip lining and horseback riding. I highly recommend and my family and I will definitely be returning!"

"The cabin is cozy and comfortable, perfect for a couple. We really enjoyed the large jacuzzi in the bedroom. The cabin is very close to Hwy 64 which makes getting around easy but in exchange there is quite a bit of traffic noise. The traffic noise is the only thing that made me give the “location and neighborhood” 3 start. Also, the steps really need a handrail. The walkway from the steps to the front door are perfectly adequate but the steps are a little steep. A little bit of something to hang...

"The inside of the property was great. Was very disappointed that both decks and the front entryway had obviously not been cleaned for sometime. Cobwebs, dust, and leaves made all of these areas very unattractive. It’s logical to assume that spending time on your decks would be one of the reasons people would choose this condo, and they had not been cleaned for a long time."

"The house is roomy and cozy, it exudes the mountain charm that it is surrounded by in Black Mountain. Easy walk to Lake Tomahawk, and plenty of outdoor space to enjoy cofffee in the morning or a meal with the family. Comfy beds, plenty of space to put your belongings, and a wonderful kitchen. We have stayed several years in a row and will be back next year. We have been going to Black Mountain/Montreat for a week in late July for 25 years, this is our favorite house."
