The Space:
Tucked conveniently off of Route 6 in wonderful Wellfleet, a Cape Cod beach house with an incredible outdoor space beckons you, at the Dragonfly. With one of the largest outdoor showers you will ever see, a shaded deck, a sunny back patio, and a separated guest studio, this beautiful home is all you need and more for your summer stay.

Enter up a step-stone pathway to the covered back deck, where you can relax in the shade under the pergola while the curtains sway in the breeze around you. Either step to your left and into the detached guest studio, a single bedroom with washer and dryer, or to your right and into the main home. Upon entry to this cozy retreat, you will find a beautiful eat-in, fully equipped kitchen. Straight ahead and down the hall, a spacious living room with sliding barn door and comfortable seating welcomes you to your new favorite movie watching station.

If dinner under the stars sounds more your speed, head out back to the private patio, with dining table and plenty of greenery to get lost in. Maybe bedtime is calling? Retire to the queen bed in the main home, a beautiful primary bedroom with plenty of options to keep you cool at night. When you wake up, be sure to walk over to Bagel Hound, with some of the best bagels in New England right out your back door. Be sure to stop by this not-to-be-missed summer home, the Dragonfly is just a vacation away.

Very small..Shower was extremely. New bedding is very much needed. Would not rebook this property. Management was great, responded quickly to any issues.

Great place!
This is a great place for 2-4 people. It’s small and cozy but is laid out so well it’s super functional. The house is nicely decorated, immaculately clean, and well equipped. Tucked away in the woods a good distance from Route 6, so very quiet. We would definitely stay again.

Cute home, great access to Wellfleet
We had a lovely stay at the cottage. The house is clean and well kept. It’s very close to Route 6, but set far enough back that you don’t notice the sounds of the road (unless you are sitting outside!) The kitchen could be better stocked, and there are no beach amenities so be sure to bring beach towels, chairs, etc. It would be nice to have an extra set of sheets and bath towels. Excellent access to the Rail Trail which is amazing if you bring your bikes or like to run. Really easy check in and the team at Del Mar is nice and responsive.

My teen daughters and I rented this cottage from Sunday to Saturday the third week in June. The cottage was cute and clean. My daughters slept in the separated bedroom/studio and enjoyed the separate space. The kitchen was well equipped, the living room was comfortable. The indoor shower is quite small, but I really enjoyed the outdoor shower. It is big, great water pressure, and it was open air. Nice to shower under the blue sky. The patio was nice as well. This is a small cottage but it suited us and our needs. We liked the location. On the quieter side for the Cape, and near Marconi Beach on the ocean side. We also went to Ryder Beach and Indian Neck Beach on the bay side. I do think the shrubbery could be trimmed back a bit, but it does add to the charm and privacy of the place. There is a nice gas grill to use and I enjoyed that.

This property was as described. I have one suggestion to the owner/ property manager, the bushes are way overgrown. It’s difficult to see the cottage and you have to maneuver around them along the walkway to the door.

Small but mighty
Nicely updated little house was a great fit for me and my dog. Did not use the separate guest room which is basically a bed with washer/dryer next to it. Kitchen is great with new fridge, range, floor, cabinets, etc. Bath room is also nicely updated (love the skylight) but it is small. Not a criticism but more of a heads-up that the shower is very small. Location was fine by me. All sides of property are sheltered from neighbors with fencing & trees/shrubs. You can hear some traffic on the nearby Rt. 6, but it's tucked back enough to not be an issue. Outdoor shower looked amazing (big!) but I was there before the weather got hot enough to use it. Overall a very nice, quaint and super clean house. I'd go back.

It is an unusual place but we enjoyed our stay. The Wellfleet location was great for exploring the mid and outer cape. There were beautiful new appliances and the interior was spotless. Some things were stored in unusual places, and we never found a dustpan. The property is very overgrown interfering with access to the house and the outdoor shower. The indoor shower was smaller than expected and my spouse had difficulty using it The directions to the property could be more specific. We arrived after dark and had difficulty finding since there were no lights on the road or in the area. We would definitely consider renting from DelMar again.

Loved the little garden and yard
Overall I liked the accommodations and the cleanliness. Great sheets and towels and washing machine but furnishings were a bit worn, especially the outside. Plates were chipped and I almost got burned when the handles fell off the large pot filled with boiling water. I did love the garden and overall location . These minor upgrades would really make the place outstanding.

Enjoyed our stay at the cottage! The location to the National Seashore was excellent. The bike trail access was across the street at the Marconi Beach entrance. The fenced-in yard was perfect for my dog! It was nice that he could enjoy some freedom during his stay :) The only thing that I would note is that there wasn't a dresser or luggage rack in the studio. Other than that, our stay was perfect!

Great except…
Had a problem with a faulty smoke detector, alarming first at 3 am. We disabled it and called DelMar the next day. Technician came when we were out and just put the faulty one back up, so it was alarming again at 7 pm.

Great tiny home for a couple and their dog
I must say, we did enjoy our stay at this tiny cottage (unit 3). Our unit was perfectly sized for my husband and I and our dog. The cottage was clean and modern inside. The bathroom is small but adequate for 2. There is also a washer and dryer available with this unit (which we didn't use) but appreciated. My only very minor complaint is that the contract says check out is a 9am which is already early. The day before, I started receiving texts reminding me to check out before 9am. I thought that was a bit of a push for an already early check out time. I knew well in advance of the early check out requirement and still decided to stay but I did not appreciate the text telling me to leave prior to 9am.
