"Beautiful property and a working cattle ranch. Took the family and 2 grandkids. Fishing was a bit difficult, but lots of other fishing spots close by. We liked feeding the horses carrots. Cows were great to see all around. Ranch manager Tim was really helpful with tips. Nice ranch to hike all over. "

"We loved our short stay at this rental. The lack of wifi and limited service meant that we put down our phones and spent some real quality time together. We read books and mountain-gazed from the back porch. The house is definitely quirky, but not in a way that is unexpected for the area and we appreciated all of it’s unique details. We were in town for a wedding and this home was the perfect respite from the social overstimulation of a large celebration."

"The house is spacious, with four decks and lovely outdoor space. There is neighbors, you see as you pull in, but once at the property you feel miles away and secluded. I loved drinking my coffee watching the birds and rabbits in the meadow, and natural spring. While the linens and beds could use updating, the magical atmosphere helped me forget about all that. "

"We loved staying at this property. Very clean, well stocked and very conveniently located in downtown Shasta. The room towards the front of the property with all the bunk beds, was quite noisy at night (vehicles passing through the main road, sound of the train horn etc). "We had a wonderful stay in McCloud! The house was well stocked with kitchen equipment and is very comfortable to cook in. The placement of the bedrooms provides plenty of privacy. Despite being there during an extreme heat wave we were able to keep the temperature of the house very comfortable by following the directions provided. Many scenic spots were easily accessible. We spent most of our time in lakes."
