"If you like a room that smells humid and like an old cigarette, this is a place for you. The room hasn’t been upgraded in a generation and the shower had water damage and black mold on the ceiling. The pool and hottub were shut down, and looked like they had been for a while. Of course they didn’t provide notice of any of this, especially to a family coming up to enjoy skiing, and all the outdoor activities the Lake Placid area has to offer, and would love nothing else but to soak in a hot tub...

"The check in and check out process is very unorthodox but extremely easy and simple. I was a little worried when I went into the office/welcome room to get the key because it smells like cigarettes, but the room itself was perfect. You can tell they are updated rooms and look exactly like the pictures shown. They even have that fresh wood smell which makes the room feel like you’re in a cabin and not just a room. We loved our stay here and would definitely come back. "

"It’s a motor lodge - we had a nice large room overlooking some of the high peaks . Room is large and you can control the heat. Mattress is firm but not overly so. "This property was an excellent stay for us. Right by main street and walkable to most things we wanted to do! Check was easy and everyone was super friendly. "The property is dated but it has some charm. Our room was clean. We stayed only one night for the World Cup in ski jumping competition so we chose this hotel because mostly every hotel was booked. There is very limited parking space. But the stuff was very nice. The breakfast was included and good. We might stay here in the future because we value the cleanliness. "
