Summary:
Newly-built 5 bedroom, 4 bath home in downtown Watkins Glen.  Sleeps 10 in queen beds made up with fresh linens for your arrival. Four full bathrooms stocked with towels and washcloths.  Two large living/dining areas, one on each floor with comfy sectionals and family-sized dining tables.  Full kitchen on the first floor stocked with tableware and kitchen basics.  Bar area with sink on the second great for lounging.  Spacious decks on the first and second floors overlooking the downtown.  Just a few minutes walk from Watkins Glen State Park and Franklin Street shops and restaurants. Easy check in with code for entry supplied prior to your arrival.

There are only 5 accessible bedrooms with 5 queen beds! The reviews may say otherwise as the house originally was built to sleep more, unfortunately due to Vacation Rental Law changes in the village of Watkins Glen, no vacation rental is allowed more than 5 bedrooms and 5 beds.

Watkins Glen has a little bit of everything: A beautiful state park, scenic lakes, wineries, a lovely downtown for shopping and dining, parks with playgrounds and swimming.

Getting Around:
This property is just off Watkins Glen's main thoroughfare, Franklin Street. Watkins Glen is a very walkable town, with a number of restaurant, shops, Seneca Lake and Watkins Glen State Park just a short walk from the front door. No on-site parking, but street parking readily available. If you choose not to bring a vehicle and wish to visit destinations beyond walking distance, transportation within Watkins Glen State Park is available for a nominal fee, and arrangements can be made for transportation for wine tours and other events by visiting the Watkins Glen Chamber of Commerce website

Perfect accommodations
Location is perfect for walking into town. Rooms were large and common areas were very spacious. Kitchen was equipped to suit our needs - Breakfast. But could have cooked other meals. Always available parking. House was very clean.

We had a great stay! The house is very large and easily accommodated our group of 8. Walking distance to several restaurants. Property manager responded quickly. Would highly recommend!

Great location!
This property was large, clean, and had a great location for walking everywhere in Watkins Glen. Courtney, property manager, was excellent and available during our 3 night stay. We were 5 siblings and spouses (all over 65 yrs old). Despite all the positives, here are the reasons I gave it an overall rating of 3/5: -scratchy sheets - hard pillows - weak Wifi - not very well stocked (examples: no oven mitts, only 9 forks) - towel bars only in 1 bathroom - no hooks to hang up stuff - no screen doors (weather was nice and would have loved to keep doors open) - chairs around table were really uncomfortable - we put cushions from couch on them - 1 armchair type chair on each floor would have been nice - very scary driveway (but plenty of parking in street) -garbage bins outside- if you filled up one closest to door, then you would have to move the bins to get to the other ones. I’m giving very detailed items to help owners improve rental so all areas will be 5/5.

Good Enough
Had some frustrations with surprise charges through VRBO and sneaky ways they word things so that on top of extremely high rates for weekends was a bit of a shock before getting there. I was able to communicate with the property manager before coming and she explained - next time book directly through their site and save a few hundred $. Now, the place had a lot of space and rooms which was nice. The furniture and lack of extras or what I thought was basic amenities (comfortable sheets, towels, updated appearance, extra sheets towels blankets etc) was pretty disappointing at that ticket price. The sheets and towels are literally paper thin. Very old outdated furniture, scratches on walls, dirty outdoor areas, super basic bathrooms. It works for big groups who want to drink around town and don’t mind the high price point or comforts of home or even comforts of a basic hotel. We were told by management there are no extra blankets but dropped off an extra paper thin sheet. You get the point. Well stocked dish-ware at least, quiet at night. Walking to the trail nearby was great. The vineyards are close by. Would look elsewhere next time.

Spacious home. Excellent location.
The house is really big. The upstairs mirrors the downstairs. Plenty of space to spread out. All the essentials are covered. If you are a frequent vacation rental property user you know what you need to bring with you. The driveway is VERY steep. I drive a truck so no issue. Another in our party was in a Toyota Sienna and the hitch drug the ground going in and out of the driveway. Very close to the gorge and downtown. Beds were all comfy. There are no tubs. Showers only but the sinks are huge so if you need to bath a small child you can do it in the sink.

Finger Lakes vacation
We rented the property for a week for a family vacation. The house was perfect for eight adults with the two large floors and open areas and balconies on each. The bottom floor has two bedrooms and two full baths plus the kitchen. The second floor has three bedrooms and two full baths. The location was ideal. It was only a couple of blocks to the fabulous Watkins Glen State Park as well as the Catharine Valley Trail (for biking or walking). It was also a short walk to Franklin Street for shops and restaurants, and to Seneca Lake. Within a 30 to 40-minute drive are Corning, Ithaca and Hammondsport. Even closer are many wineries and additional restaurants.

Two floors with an internal staircase, two porches, off-street parking, ample kitchen, huge couch with TV, ample dining table. Each room has one or two queen beds. 4 bathrooms. Very good value. Recommended.

great rental for large families
This property was very big! The downstairs mimicked the upstairs...which was perfect! The kids had the whole upstairs, and the adults were downstairs. This property is walking distance to Glen Watkins trail, Seneca Lake, and downtown. The host, Courtney, was beyond helpful. She was super sweet and accommodating with so much great information about the area.

Overall we had a great time. The house is spacious and great location. The wi-fi is horrible, I would recommend a wi-fi booster. The house was clean although I would recommend changing the shower curtain.

While we didn’t want to bother our hosts, they were very responsive to our messages, so thank you very much. We were a group of 8, so the house is much more than we need. The location is very convenient, as you are within walking distance to nearby restaurants and Watkins Glen state park. We’ll definitely recommend to our friends and family. Thanks again!

Great trip with great friends
Everything was great. Courtney was fantastic to work with. Our arrival day was during a storm that brought ice and about 10 inches of snow. The driveway to the house and entrance was in great shape. They had to work hard to do this and our group thank them for the hard work. Would definitely rent this property again.

Great location to wineries. Plenty of room. Very clean. Nothing fancy but had what we needed. I’d bring extra towels and hand towels. WiFi didnt work well. Needed batteries in remote for TV that I couldn’t get to work. But overall was perfect.

Great location
We enjoyed our stay. Very nice set-up. The only thing I would add was that the WiFi signal was weak and had a difficult time staying connected. Perhaps a booster would help improve the WIFI service. Great location.

Lots of room very convenient needs some maintenance
The house was mostly what we expected, although it actually has 6 bedrooms rather than 5, which was a bonus for our large group. The location is perfect to walk to the state park, so we didn't have to pay for parking and it made it convenient to visit in the evening when it is less crowded. This home had some maintenance issues; the front doorknob was loose, a kitchen cabinet drawer front had fallen off, one of the upstairs toilets had a loose tank, the kitchen faucet hot water handle was loose. Overall the house was nice, not much in the way of extras but it suited our purpose well. Smart TV's with WIFI was a big plus too.

BOOK YOUR STAY NOW...this place is amazing
Booked this beautiful home for 2 families to stay so we can attend my daughters graduation from Cornell. Everything is clean and the rooms are perfectly sized. Plenty of bathrooms/showers. Shops and food are within walking distance. Our family loved the huge balcony on the second floor. Great for the whole family to be together and look over the town. I highly recommend this house, especially for those coming for college graduations with huge families. Book it early!!
