"I found the property after three hours and it was not in rentable condition. This is a property that has not been at the location listed in a few years according to locals whom i talked with. I talked to personnel from three different marinas, and none allow this type of rental. Renter beware of ANY such type listing! "We enjoyed this cottage so much! It was clean, had just the right amount of space, and had a huge backyard for our dog to play in. The owner was also very helpful and answered any questions we had. "This property is just as beautiful as the pictures imply. You couldn't ask for a better view to wake up to in the mornings. Something for everyone - we swam, kayaked, paddled, fished, crabbed, and boated. The grandparents read books on the porch enjoying the view. Fourth of July in downtown Belhaven was a scene from a Hallmark movie. We had a great time and would definitely return."

"Room was absolutely spotless & new. Front desk service was great. TV wasn’t working and we called & someone came and set it up immediately. He was pleasant and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our stay & breakfast. An elderly guest roaming the halls with her small dog at breakfast talking to her cellphone in her pocket on speaker made for interesting entertainment. All other guests were smiley and kind. "
