Great Stay in Old Town

This was the perfect location and size for our family of 4 to use as a base camp to explore greater DC. The walk to King Street or the Waterfront was 10-15 minutes or less. The Metro station was 10 minutes or less. There was a Trader Joeā€™s about 2 blocks away. Loved the location and the neighborhood vibe. Look forward to visiting again.

A lot to like but a lot to be done

There are some great features to this property, like its proximity to the metro and Old Town, keyless entry, parking, and recycling. However, there are features of this property that make it feel like the renovation was done poorly or is partially incomplete. The stair railing is precariously wobbly and falling apart, there is peeling paint, seeing the downstairs bathroom through the stair floor boards, and some very unfinished trim. The lights in the kitchen also flicker if any water is running. The kitchen also isnā€™t equipped with materials to cook a full meal (no colander and a very unless can opener). Maybe these are things that would go unnoticed if our kids werenā€™t with us but it definitely diminished the quality of our stay.

Great location

This property was great for a week-long stay. It had everything we needed and was a 10 minute walk to the metro. The house is in a cute little neighborhood and is walking distance (or a short drive) to lots of restaurants, bars, etc. We were worried about being able to find parking, but were able to get a spot on the street each night. The house itself is cozy, clean and well-stocked with the items we needed (kitchen appliances, towels, etc).

Great place to stay!

Clean and comfortable! Close to grocery stores and metro station. The walks to the waterfront and the metro felt a little long, but that was more a result of the 100 degree heat than the distance. AC worked great though!

The home was as advertised, very charming in a nice neighborhood within walking distance to churches, shops, restaurants, and museums. It is well served by Uber; we kept getting the same driver. The house was very clean and well stocked with all of the essentials. I would stay here again when visiting the area.

This is a great location to visit DC. The home is clean and cute. Couple of things you should be aware of: there is only one and a half baths, sleeping 6 would be a ridiculous effort, both bedrooms are upstairs and the stairs are challenging for anyone not in tiptop shape. Recommend if you are young and fit.

This house was great for our weekend get together in the DC area. It was small, but in a great location and exactly as described. It was an easy walk into the heart of old town Alexandria, and an easy walk to the Metro to get into DC.

Cute little renovated 2br/1.5ba townhouse near the Metro

We had a great time in DC on a family trip staying here. Walked to metro and restaurants daily. House had new appliances and fixtures and most everything we needed. Great fenced in yard for the boys to run around in. The beds were comfy. The only things I wish I had known before I booked: - itā€™s big enough for 2 adults and 2-3 kids. we had 3 adults, 2 kids, and an infant. There was a pack n play for the infant, but no other baby amenities.. we ended up bathing the baby by holding him in the shower - wouldā€™ve done it in the kitchen sink but there wasnā€™t a mixing bowl big enough. Also, for some reason I misread the listing and the sofa is NOT a pullout - our au pair ended up sleeping on the sofa in the living room, which was a biiit less than ideal. Wish there was at least a set of sheets to place on top for him. The other bed is a rope cot in the master bedroom on which you can put a twin air mattress. But since we wanted to sleep in separate spaces, we didnā€™t end up using that. - it can get a bit warm upstairs during the summer. Even with the AC on 72, it felt hot upstairs. When the AC is lower, itā€™d be freezing downstairs and comfortable upstairs. - a bit of an ant problem in the kitchenā€¦ they seemed to come in under the backdoor.. maybe the weather seal needs replacing.. we kept things pretty clean and still found new ants everyday. Overall, we had a great time!

AMAZING!

Our family of 4 stayed here and it was a perfect choice! We truly enjoyed calling this "home" for a week. The residence was clean, well stocked, the neighborhood felt safe, and we loved the proximity to grocery shopping, the King Street shops and restaurants, and the metro. We do wish the kitchen had a few more items (tea kettle, wisk, and a wider selection of knives) but other than that - it was PERFECT! We truly appreciated the prompt response from the owners for any questions that arose. THANK YOU for making our visit to DC WONDERFUL!

Cute and Clean Old Town Alexandria Home

We had a wonderful stay at this adorable home! It had everything we needed including a pack n play for our infant. The rooms were a good size. We could fit an inflatable toddler bed in one room and the pack n play in the other. We loved that it had a backyard. The home was very clean. It was an easy walk to the main streets with shopping and dining. It was also easy to park in front of the home. It was nice to be able to walk around the corner to Chewish Deli for bagels and Starbucks for coffee. The hosts were easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to visit the Alexandria/DC area!

Great Stay in Old Town

Great location if youā€™re interested in doing D.C. Communication with property manager was excellent and the place was exactly as described. Love the Old Town neighborhoods - lots of great restaurants within walking distance and so much history to see as well.
