"Perfect, private and very comfortable accommodation for a five night holiday for hubby and I from Wellington. Great location to base ourselves to visit New Plymouth city and other local areas. Loved the daily ocean view and got to see the magnificent mountain view at the start and end of our stay (weather permitting). "We had a one night staycation at this property. It was great to be able to walk to the pub and cafes. The property was nice an clean and the bed was super comfy. I gave it 4 stars rather than 5, only because the couch and chairs appeared to be like reception furniture and wasn't awesome for relaxing in the evening. It would be nice to have a decent couch that two people could relax on comfortably. Otherwise, it was great. Nice selection of teas and thanks for the cookies!"

"I stayed Friday to Monday (3 nights) and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The house is clean and tidy, everything is easy to find and it's well-equipped. It's literally a stone's throw from the beach. There are modern conveniences and contemporary decor but house still has it's 1920's character, right down to a claw-foot bath and the loo positioned in the washhouse near the back door. Having no internet connection is great if you want a break from the online world to enjoy your holiday in...

The property is very clean and comfortable, the owners go the extra mile by providing a few drinks and snacks, communication was very clear, and we felt we had privacy even though it's part of their home. "A little hiccup when some of our group arrived as previous people hadn't left but it was sorted quickly.And we were a little bit earlier than 3pm. Awesome house. A good set up for us. There were three couples, three singles and myself. The little lounge by the second bathroom should be made into a bedroom with a single bed we all thought. I used this as a bedroom. But general layout was great. We were all family, cousins, my sister and husband and two of my sons so the house worked well for us....
