Recent mobility issues limit my usual active travel, so I invited my two middle-age daughters, their spouses, and the 12-year-old grandkid to a vacation at the coast. The grandkid shared the master bedroom with me; the two couples each had separate bedrooms, one en-suite and one with a bathroom just to it. There were enough electrical outlets fore everyone's electronic devices, enough kitchen accessories for everything we wanted to cook, enough comfy seats to everyone to read or use their devices, appliances that were nearly smarter than us, huge windows looking out at the ocean. The walkers spent hours on the beach; I enjoyed bird watching from the house and was able to get down to the beach with help from my trekking poles. The weather was so nice we didn't take much advantage of the rainy day entertainments supplied. The house is solidly built, quiet, comfortable. The only fly in the ointment was trying to communicate with the property manager while making arrangements; they never returned my several phone messages. The morning we were to arrive I finally reached a person instead of an answering machine when I called, and the man was very pleasant and gave me the information we needed. With better communications I would have rated this house five stars.
