"The cottage was even cuter in person and was the perfect base to explore the northlands from! I wish we had more time since the sunny porch and living room begged me to sit and read a good book. "Property was in a great location. The area was quiet. Affordable, yet spacious. We were able to make some of our own meals with the use of the fridge, stove and microwave that were provided. Minor concerns: lightbulb missing in the storage off the bathroom, a few carpet stains, the hot water tap needs to be locked in place as it turns when you turn it on."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this heritage house. The patio is a beautiful spot to sit and overlook the bay. We used the kayaks every day, which was a huge bonus to the rental. It's a 2 minute walk from the general store and fish and chips shop and a few more to the marina. We would absolutely recommend this stay."

"We loved this gorgeous little unit, it was beautifully appointed with everything we needed, and of course phenomenal views! Our hosts were very easy to communicate with and very generous in allowing our kids to pitch a tent on the front lawn. All in all a very memorable stay and we will be back."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Kanuka Bay. The view from the deck and living area was gorgeous and about the only thing you could hear was birdsong. The hot tub made it extra relaxing. Jenny was a gracious and responsive host who made us feel welcome. We would definitely stay again!"

"This property is paradise there was nothing, absolute nothing we could fault. Off grid, solar powered but yet we had more than enough power to watch tv, charge things you get my drift. Very private and quiet, good when you need time to let the mind, body and soul rejuvenate. We spent most of our time fishing, caught a few good sized snappers for our dinners. Gathered oysters. "The best pool we've seen. Just an issue with cleanliness of this property. The pool had hairs, lots of debris floating around, it makes one feel unclean and perhaps needs investment in a good vacuum. House keeping was friendly but again not thorough. We had chunks of hair in the bath and underwear from previous guest in the wardrobe (its probably still there). Main complaint though was the noise. We are a quiet family who like our sleepins. Being right by the pool gate, amongst noisy tourists...
