Visitors come to Hawaii for the beach and Anehoomalu Beach (referred to as “A-Bay”) doesn’t disappoint. This crescent-shaped, 900’ long salt and pepper beach features rental facilities for all kinds of water sports from boogie boarding and stand up paddle boarding to snorkeling and sunset and whale watching boat rides. You will see giant turtles and tropical fish. The Lava Lava Beach Club provides meals and snacks. And…for those of you who just want to lie on the beach with a book and soak up some rays, there are plenty of chaise lounges too.
A short drive outside the resort takes you to Hapuna State Park, one of the top rated beaches in America. Hapuna is a great boogie boarding beach. Other beaches along the Kohala Coast provide excellent snorkeling and diving. Nearby, Puako, is a popular spot for shore dives so bring your gear if you are a diver. Divers and snorkelers also enjoy the amazing nighttime manta ray dives.
If you or your children would like to swim with dolphins, DolphinQuest can provide that experience of a lifetime for you as well.
Golf is another reason why people visit Hawaii. The two championship courses at the Waikoloa Resort feature challenging holes and fantastic ocean views. In addition to the two championship courses at the Waikoloa Beach Resort, there are 5 other championship courses within a 15 minute drive of the resort.

The Kings’ Shops offer high end shops, galleries, and restaurants including Tiffany’s, Michael Kors, Maui Divers Jewelry, Louis Vuitton, Roy’s Waikoloa Bar and Grill and Merriman’s Market Café.
The Queens’ Shops provide a family oriented shopping environment. There is a gourmet supermarket and a food court featuring the expected burgers and sandwiches as well as local treats. Both shopping areas feature daily activities and entertainment.
