"Everything about this spot and stay was seamless and stunning. The views, the location, the ability to still work (I was on a work trip) and have reception was an extra bonus. The host was great to communicate with and there was everything we could need. So happy the fire was stoked and ready to roll. "We had a lovely stay at this property. It was quiet and peaceful but within a short drive to town and the beach. The property was well equipped and spotlessly clean. "The whole place was amazing. Felt like arriving to a holiday resort. Plenty of room for everyone. Safety issues with children and pools were very well adressed. Felt safe. Pool area could have used an update to make it even more luxurious. There was a construction site next door but it did not bother us that much. The overall look had aged a bit from the pictures but we enjoyed our stay anyway."

"It's an old shop so it's a bit worn, but it has more than everything you need for a comfortable stay. Good fireplace and lots of firewood, books, magazines, games. Breakfast provisions laid on which was unexpected but very convenient. Good shower. Less than a 1 minute walk to the pub for meals."

"The accommodation was as advertised. No unpleasant surprises. Wood fire kept the house cozy. We were there late autumn, it would have been a great addition to have a wall heater in the bathroom which was outside on the back porch. Otherwise I would recommend a stay for those who can tolerant Taranaki temperatures. The easy close walk to the Whangamomona Hotel was the icing on the cake."
