"Beautiful property and amazing people. They were super nice and helpful. We rented the side by side and they provided us with feed to use out on the property. We got to see a bunch of really cool animals and had a ton of fun fishing too. We will definitely be going back! "

Would be very fun to visit during summer to take advantage of the pool. The listing on VRBO can be slightly confusing. There is a room that list two queen beds which only has one and upstairs living room that lists king is an air mattress. These beds we were using for kids, so we were able to make it...

"We had a great time at this cozy studio loft apartment. Great location for downtown Bastrop and Bastrop state park with amazing river access. We will be back, hopefully with friends, in the bigger house!"

"We had a little trouble getting into the house, and the Wi-Fi would not cooperate with my phone to call the manager for help - but we FINALLY figured it out. It was really very simple, we were just tired and frustrated. It's a nicely secluded property, yet close to town. The house was beautiful, very neat and clean, and everything was there that could possibly be needed. One of the trundle beds had no linens, but Walmart was close by. This is not a complaint, just a suggestion: A ramp or...

"Amazing place to stay that really brings you back to the days when things were a little slower paced. Lots of old car and gas station memorabilia that is decorated very nicely. The highway 90 out front was very quite and not real busy. Train is close by but did not bother or effect us in the least. Front outdoor area nice to relax with coffee and start the day and the backyard area with firepit is a great place to end that day. Everything was clean and tidy with plenty of necessary supplies....

"We enjoyed our stay in Bastrop in this cozy little cabin! It was very clean, well-equipped, and comfortable even though it's a little tight with 3 people."

"This was the perfect place for our getaway. The property was fantastic. The cabin was wonderful full of interesting history about the Chicken Ranch and everything we needed to cook and relax. Jan was wonderful and always responsive. The best part for us was being able to let our dogs off leash to run and hike the numerous trails. We will definitely return "

"A wonderful restoration to a picture perfect cozy home. Amenities are updated and I felt completely comfortable and safe as a single occupant. Perfect for a solo retreat, or a group getaway!"

"Amazing property with an amazing experience you can enjoy your entire stay. The cabin was beautiful and secluded with a view of the pastures and a friendly horse that visits the front porch. We took our dog Henry who was overjoyed in meeting the goats, horses and most of all the cows. 100% revisiting. Thank you for the amazing stay, Jason!"

"We enjoyed our stay a great deal, the house was just what we wanted and other than a few wrinkles which were worked out it was great. The recommendations for places to eat were spot on and hate to say it but good food is habit forming. I am looking forward to doing it again. Thanks"
