Peaceful getaway
I can’t say enough about this beautiful cottage, only to add that it’s owned by the kindest couple. The property is peaceful and serene and the house is darling and comfortable. Getting away to this place is just what I needed!!

This place was Heaven on Earth
From the moment I saw the pictures online I knew my family and I had to experience this lovely property! Upon arrival it was more appealing than the pictures could reveal. If you’re looking for a quiet tucked away paradise then look no further! The hosts (Mark and Mary) are gifts from God and I don’t say that lightly. Just go ahead and reserve…it doesn’t get any better than this! Clean, cozy, comfortable, at home feeling with that classic country touch. Perfection!

Beautiful cottage in a manicured 7 acres park like settinng
My wife and I have stayed in many houses and cottages around the world and this place would be one of our favorite. The host Mary and Mark treated us like old friends and were so welcoming to us and ours two grandchildren. I would have to say it was one of the best experiences in a vacation rental we have every had. The house and the park like setting was one of the most beautiful we have stayed at. We went to see the total eclipse of the sun on 04-08-2024 and enjoyed the stay immensely. We would go back just for the cottage and the quiet setting.

The perfect place
This place is just special! It’s a short drive to everything Waco has to offer or the perfect place to stay in and do nothing. The owners have literally thought of everything and were a joy to meet! We came for a girls trip but now I’m ready to bring my husband back for some alone time. Just book it, it’s a gem.

Absolutely Charming Cottage
This absolutely charming cottage lived up to all its excellent reviews and then some! The cottage is thoughtfully designed, attractively furnished, and meticulously kept. We were privileged to meet the owners, Mark and Mary, when we arrived and they are delightful and gracious hosts. The home has inviting sitting areas, both inside and outside, perfect for relaxing. The property surrounding the cottage is lovely and peaceful. We greatly appreciate Mark and Mary's thoughtfulness in making our stay so pleasant and we would highly recommend this beautiful cottage.

An Enchanted Weekend
What a beautiful and enchanting cottage, set in a storybook setting. Mark and Mary were delightful and so welcoming. Every detail was perfectly appointed. The cottage was absolutely spotless with wonderful bedding. Celebrating our 52nd Anniversary, we were surprised with champagne and a delicious cake. Don’t hesitate to book this perfect cottage. Perfect Getaway
This property is even more beautiful and wonderful than pictures can express. Everything is exactly what we had hoped for. The property owners are so wonderful and think of every single thing you might need. We were facing bad weather and graciously let us check in 30 min early and were just lovely to chat with. The beds are super comfortable and rhe patios are the best way to spend your morning coffee. I highly recommend and would stay again and again.

Just What We Needed

Perfect Getaway

Don’t pass on this one!!
This was the most quaint house we’ve rented. It was so relaxing, the grounds were beautiful and our hosts were the most wonderful couple we have ever met. There was every amenity you could think of. It didn’t take but 5 minutes walking into the house that we decided we would be making a return trip. So relaxing having coffee on the porch in the morning, watching the cardinals and blue jays. I was truly a beautiful trip.

The cottage and setting are wonderful! The cottage was spotless and the decor is so beautiful. The owners were so kind and helpful. (We visited with them at great lenghts. They are lovely people. ) It is obvious that they take great pride in this property. Staying at the cottage is highly reccomended. You will not be disappointed.

Better Than Imagined
Everything about the location, timing, hosts, layout, decorations, atmosphere, cleanliness, intentionality, etc far exceeded our wildest expectations! Our hosts were amazing, paying attention to the details of our specific trip, speaking with us when we arrived, offering to help with anything we needed, they were exceptional. Beautiful place!
We had the best time here at the cottage! Such a beautiful place and awesome owners! We enjoyed meeting them and learning more about the history of the estate. It’s even prettier in person! If you are thinking about staying in Waco, this place is perfect. It’s twenty minutes from the Silos & Magnolia! If we ever decide to come back to Waco, I will definitely be back to stay here! Thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Dawson for such a nice stay and their sweet hospitality!

Adorable Cottage in Waco
We we’re greeted by Mark & Mary as they were the most gracious hosts. They made us feel so welcome and had our unsweet tea-per our request! The cottage is immaculate. Hopefully soon we will be back! Love this adorable cottage!
My husband and I stayed at the cottage for his 40th birthday getaway. This cottage was beyond our expectations. The property is beautiful as well as the cottage. Everything was clean, beautiful, and very welcoming. The owners were so sweet and gave us some great recommendations for restaurants and things to do around the town. We loved not only the inside of the cottage but the outside patio areas were so peaceful and wonderful to relax. They set up a fire for us in the chiminea which was wonderful. Thank you so much for such a great place for us to stay!

HEAVENLY!
If I could give this 10 stars, I would! I brought our two adult daughters to Waco for some "girl" time. We each had such a wonderful time....not in Waco necessarily, but at THIS COTTAGE! Mark and Mary (the hosts) are two of the kindest people you will ever meet ~ they felt like family!! This cottage is beautiful ~ we enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, (even had a deer close by) and had a fire outside.....wrapped up in blankets for hours, with wine and FUN for the three of us. The rooms are comfortable and the kitchen is a perfect size for all. Be sure to get groceries prior to checking in ~ DO NOT STAY in a hotel, this is where you want to stay!! WE ALL LOVED OUR SWEET TIME! Thank you again, Mark and Mary!!!

Wonderful few days!
We three high school girl friends spent a reunion week together and this cottage was the perfect place! Beautiful, comfortable, spotless clean, every need anticipated. The owners were delightful and the property could not be more inviting and relaxing. Can’t wait to go back!
