Cozy cute cabin. Clean and nicely appointed. Very comfortable..my family had a wonderful time here. Greg was a great host. We even caught fish. I think are dog Remy had the best time. Very pet friendly,Remy even signed the guest book.The only hiccup was we couldn't find any sheets or pillow cases for the sofa bed. Maybe we didn't look hard enough.

Lovely property! Had such a relaxing stay. Enjoyed sitting in the deck watching the pond and my dog enjoyed running around the property. Greg and Maggie were wonderful hosts and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!

Charming property

This is the perfect place if you want peace and quiet and privacy over what has become a very noisy holiday. July Fourth should be about more than blowing stuff up but thatā€™s what itā€™s become to a lot of people so I got out of town and came here. Perfect for rest and relaxation. The owners are nice and the cabin is perfect. It was just what I wanted and needed. Thank you Maggie and Greg.

The cabin was excellent. The hosts were very communicative and very quick to answer questions while being extremely polite. The property was secluded and beautiful. The only negative was the weather, which was no fault of the hosts or the property, as it was very hot and humid. When we book this property in the future, we'd like to choose a cooler time of year. Other than that, our experience was perfect! Thank you Greg and Maggie for exceptional hospitality and an amazing experience!

Peaceful Getaway with Room for Improvement

We had a meaningful and relaxing stay at this quiet cabin tucked away in New Windsor, IL. The best part was definitely the sceneryā€”absolutely beautiful views and plenty of privacy. It was the perfect place to unplug and reconnect with nature. The fishing was top-notch, and we loved that we could bring our dog along, which made the trip even better.That said, there were a few things that could use some attention. We had quite an issue with ants in the kitchen and bathroomā€”we even had to hide our donuts in the microwave to keep them safe! The paddle boat and canoe on-site were unfortunately not usable, both were filled with water and in rough shape. Also, most of the roads leading to and around the area are gravel, which might be something to consider if you're driving a nicer vehicle.The bed was also a bit small for us as an average-sized coupleā€”it was a snug fit. Still, the charm of the place and the peaceful surroundings made up for a lot, and overall, we really enjoyed our time here. With a few updates, this spot could be truly exceptional.

This was a mother/daughter break! We wanted a peaceful and rustic escape ā€¦ and were not disappointed. The fishing was great, the cabins n was very comfortable and well equipped, and the wildlife relaxing! Will definitely return!

Relaxing getaway

We stayed here for a weekend to celebrate my husbands birthday. We wanted to get away somewhere quiet. We brought our two German shepherds. We appreciated the doggie goodie bags! They loved the all the open space and pond. We all loved walking around the property. It was so secluded and peaceful. The weather was nice too! I got to sit outside drink coffee, eat breakfast, read a book while listening to the birds. We would love to come back next time!

Quiet get away in the country

This is a modern cabin in the country. The owner was responsive when I couldn't figure out the heating system, (there is more than one thermostat). I love the 360 degree view, including a pond with wild geese. I highly recommend this lovely cabin. The roads are rustic, and it is so worth it.

Cabin on a pond.

What a great stay!!!! Secluded, beautiful sunrises with the wife in the sunroom with a deck that wrapped around. Loved sitting around the fire pit, visiting with kids and grandkids we came to see. Just the right size and very cozy for 2. We definitely are next trip.

Secluded Cabin Getaway

Stayed here 1 night with my girlfriend and our dog. It was an amazing spot to get away from it all. Caught a lot of bass in the pond, so if you like to fish, this is it. We had a bonfire and made smores as well. The whole place was very cozy. We will definitely be back.
