"We had a girls getaway weekend and this was the perfect place to do it! From the moment we walked in everything was perfect! Jess is a very thoughtful host and we had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend including towels, robes, coffee, tea, and even a charcuterie board upon arrival! "My family and I rented this cottage based on the past reviews and the cottage description. Unfortunately, the cottage was not properly described and was filthy when we arrived. We were assured by the owners that the cottage has been cleaned, but we did send photos of both buildings that proved otherwise. A cleaner was sent a day later but by then, we had already cleaned a bit. The kitchen had a tap that wasn't properly attached, stinky dish cloths, oven mitts with holes, drawers and cupboards...

"We stayed as a family of four with two young children at the end of summer. The property is beautiful and the water very shallow quite a ways out so it was perfect for our 1.5 and 2.5 year olds. They had a blast playing in the water, riding around in the kayak and playing with some beach toys provided. "The property was nicely secluded, with multiple trails leading up to the top of the escarpment with a lovely view of Golden Lake. The cabin itself was clean and cozy, and the AC was perfect for sleeping as we went in a 35° July heatwave. Great little fire pit with affordable firewood supplied by the hosts.
