Canal view beautiful apartment in the quiet Dorsoduro area

Spacious ground floor apartment with canal view (on the rio de l'Avogaria) situated in a stylish XVI century building recently restored in the quiet Dorsoduro area.
It can accomodate up to 4 people, it is composed by a comfortable double bedroom That can be converted into a twin bedroom if requested, a spacious living room with double sofa bed and nice fireplace (not usable by the guests for safety reason).
It has a beautiful yellow marble bathroom with Both bath-tub and shower. Equipped kitchen.
There is no washing machine but a free and fast laundry service on request will be available for all the guests.

Quiet respite in local neighborhood
My husband and I stayed for five days in early May. It was convenient to travel from airport via by the Alilaguna Orange line to the Ca Rezzonico stop, then an easy walk to the apartment. Very secure with street door opening into foyer. Apartment is on main floor of foyer. The apartment is spacious, had everything we needed, (and more since we ate all our meals out) and is very quiet. It is located in a great neighborhood with two piazzas within a short walking distance. Wonderful cafes and restaurants to choose from. Close by is a Conad grocery store and a daily green grocer boat with fresh produce. Plenty of local restaurants serving delicious meals along San Barnaba, or wander beyond for more options. Our host Irene, was very responsive and checked in with us to ensure our stay was outstanding. We highly recommend this apartment and would stay again without hesitation. You can feel like a local.

It was a quiet and less touristy area. Great pastry shop down the street. Bed was comfortable. Check in was a bit rough but otherwise we had a very nice stay.

Stunning
We got lost as google maps not accurate with address, but our host was quick to find us and bring us to the door.Navigating was a little overwhelming at first but after few outings was much easier. Early morning walks before everyone wakes were relaxing, and nicer to see the beauty of all Venice offers.

Venice honeymoon
The apartment was absolutely fantastic. It was clean and private, and in a safe area. Both Irene and Chiara were amazing hosts and made check-in and out very simple. They left a wonderful list of recommendations that were all close to the apartment. I wouls highly recommend the stay

Wonderful location and a charming apartment.
We had a wonderful stay at the Mimosas and the location is super centralized for exploring Dorsoduro and 10 minutes to either the Grand Canal one way or the Giudecca Canal the other! 5 minutes to Campo San Barnaba and Campo San Margarita, both are really nice with lots of really good restaurants. The Apartment is right on a small canal where you can watch boats go by, but very quiet in the evenings. The Dorsoduro district is super nice to explore without the crazy crowds of the San Marco area, but your only 10 minute walk to Ca’ Rezzonico Vaporetto stop that if you take the # 1b Vaporetto will have you at Saint Marks in 10 minutes! Irene is a charming host and Erika her agent was wonderful meeting us at Canpo S Barnaba and helping us with our luggage for the 5 minute walk to the apartment. It was a great experience and you’ll fall in love with Venice staying at the Mimosas ❤️

A wonderful place to stay!!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Mimosa apartment! Irene was very responsive and was in communication with us all along the way. We had a train delay and Irene was able to give us precise instructions on how to access since we were arriving later than notmal check-in. The apartment has was super clean, has some nice space, all of the basics, and helpful guide books for inspiration during the stay. We loved waking up to the canal view and seeing gondolas pass by. The immediate area was pretty quiet yet not far away from restaurants and as it is Venice, walkable to other areas of the city I highly recommend staying here! Thank you, Irene!

Our arrival was delayed due to the airlines but Irene and her mother made it a smooth check-in. The apartment is in a perfect location and had everything we needed including wonderful recommendations on restaurants that we thoroughly enjoyed. We would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely charming
This apartment is just like the photos and is clean, quiet, charming, and just what was needed for my daughter and me. We could easily walk to everything we wanted to see but the apartment itself was out of the main tourist areas and was an oasis of calm. It's on the ground level, right on a small canal and you can hear the water lapping at night. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is a decent size. This apartment is terrific and is good for a a couple or a small family (there is a pullout bed). We dealt with Irene and Erika for the booking and both were very easy to work with and always replied quickly to any questions we had. They were very helpful and understanding when endless travel delays caused us to arrive two days late, rather worse for the wear. At our request, they arranged for a private water taxi to meet us at the airport, and while very expensive, not having to think too much was in order and the arrival to city was spectacular! I would highly recommend this property to friends and family thinking of visiting Venice.

With a 4 minute walk to the grand canal, we found this location to be quite convenient. We could catch WaterBus #1 at Ca'Rizzonico or Academia for a short ride to San Marco. A grocery store was about a 5 minute walk away. The apartment kitchen and bath were updated nicely. The host was very busy on the day we arrived, so it took awhile (45 minutes) for her to meet us for check in. We DID appreciate someone meeting us in person! (as opposed to some vrbo locations that just provide key lock box). The host was extremely helpful and answered our many questions.

Venice Apartment
Perfect apartment for 2 people in a great, quiet area with easy 10 minute walk to Accademia Bridge towards San Marco. Dorsoduro is lovely sestiere with great restaurants, bakeries and artisanal gelato. The owner, Irene, is very kind and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

Grand appartement lumineux et confortable qui correspond à la description. Très bien situé dans un quartier tranquille où vivent encore des Vénitiens. Accès au vaporetto, épicerie et plusieurs restaurants en moins de 10 minutes. En prime le gondolier qui passe à la fenêtre. Nous recommandons fortement cet appartement.

Cute Space Great Location
This apartment was a very good size for the two of us. It was a quick, straight walk from the water bus stop and the neighborhood was quiet and safe. We were halfway through our trip across Italy when we stayed here and the clothes washer in the kitchen was a much needed convenience. The bathroom and kitchen were well equipped and didn't leave us wanting for anything. I would stay here again if we were traveling to Venice. A couple of tips if you choose to stay here. There is a small cafe, pastry shop on the road from the waterbus stop to the apartment with a very nice older lady that has perfect espresso and some sublime pastries. We stopped there every morning. It was so good. Explore the Campo Santa Margherita, it is full of shops and artisans that are worth your time. This area of Venice is cute and much less overwhelming than the heavily touristy areas. Finally, get a waterbus pass for the length of your stay and use it as a great way to tour the island.

Canal view in a charming area - magical!
Favorite of our trip!!! Very nicely set up, comfortable and convenient, open the windows right onto a secluded quiet canal!! The Dorsoduro area is perfect - lots of great restaurants and sights and easy access to water transportation but away from the most crowded area. PS get dinner reservations in advance even in October. La Bitta is a close restaurant that was amazing. Also the Majer Panificio Pasticceria for breakfast and/or lunch.

Beautiful apartment in a lovely neighborhood! We loved every minute of our stay in Venice and this apartment was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Our check in coordinator was Erika who was outstanding; pleasant and responsive. Morning coffee at Colussi’s; dinner at Al Profeta and Enoteca Ortiga; we felt like true Venetians! What a spectacular city. Book this elegant apartment hosted by a warm and welcoming host and live the Dolce Vita!

Bright, Spacious, Well Located
The apartment is large and bright and located on a charming and quiet rio in Dorsoduro. It is convenient to two vaporetto stops and the Conad supermarket. There are several good restaurants just a few steps away. Although there is no washing machine, the owner provided a free and convenient laundry service. She also provided very good information about arranging an early water taxi to the airport and where to get our departure Covid tests.
