"Fabulous spot for a long weekend away from Auckland. The sea view from the main property is amazing, and the pool / games barn a great place for the kids to be entertained. The hosts are incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We stayed in the Kohinui (family) cottage - 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen, and heat pumps/AC in every room. "Great accommodation, highly recommended. We found the room to be clean,much bigger than we thought. Everything we needed was there. Obviously well maintained. "This was our first night's stay in NZ after the plane from Singapore. V friendly lady on reception who gave us some milk for tea. We were allocated room 6 which was spotlessly clean but needs, in my opinion, a new mattress. It is too soft. Kitchen is well stocked. "

"We've stayed in plenty of motels, apartments and hotels in NZ this past month, most arentired or have seen better days. But this spot was clean, felt new and is easily one of our best stays. Thanks to all the team who help keep it nice and clean, you're doing an excellent job. Appreciated the airocn and Netflix too."

"We only stayed one night at this property and arrived late however there was a member of staff waiting to greet us. The hotel was close to all facilities and within a few minutes drive of the the popular tourist spots. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would be happy to return again."

"We enjoyed staying however Shower great except the height too low I’m 5ft 9 inches and had to bend my knees to wash my hair. We were on the ground level and every time when the person above walked over their floor we heard every movement. "

"A great option in Whangarei as it is not in the centre of town although it's very close to the Town Basin. Surrounded by lots of lawn and trees. Great service and a reasonable restaurant. Comfortable room and a good shower. "

"The owner Andy is so kind and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast was delicious and the room was absolutely marvelous. Could not have been a better place!"
