The Space:
The Country Living is located in the rural locality of McGrane Way, just 56 minutes drive from Dubbo. The city is home to many attractions, including the Taronga Western Plains Zoo, Wellington Caves, Warrumbungle National Park, and the Mudgee vineyards are all located nearby.
Enjoy a comfortable countryside retreat nestled on the side of a hill, offering breathtaking views of the open farmland and natural bushland. Located next to a watering hole where various birds and native animals such as kangaroos, wallabies, emus, goannas, and echidnas come for a drink.
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny house with easy access to clean rainwater to bathe and drink. Split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, a hand basin, and a gas-heated shower.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please note that this tiny house is a self-catering accommodation. If a guest forgets to bring their food, please approach us for assistance or inquiries.
Guest Access:
Guests are welcome to participate in our seasonal farm activities, including sheep shearing, which is every third week of March and September. This includes tractor rides during seeding time and harvest time.
Guests will have access to the tiny house and 2,858 acres of land for exploration. However, planted crop areas are restricted and cannot be accessed by vehicles.
Guests are permitted to drive through the wetlands with caution, and any damages to your vehicle will be your responsibility.

By car:
- From Sydney to the property is 5 hours 38 minutes 437km. Reachable by 2WD
By public transport:
- Train, Central Station, Platform 5 Sydney to Dubbo via Parramatta Central to Dubbo Station. Rhen Taxi to farm.
Other Things to Note:
- Pets are not allowed
- No BBQ Grill and breakfast
- Food scraps fed to our chooks
- No uninvited guests or visitors allowed
- Matches can be provided if requested in advance
- Please advise that our tap provides clean rainwater
- No smoking allowed inside, except in designated areas
- Telstra and Optus have weak signals and the rest have no signal
- Remember to close all gates behind you upon entering or exiting
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
- We kindly ask guests to respect their neighbor's property and avoid trespassing. Get a map of your property to stay within your boundaries and be a good neighbor.
Important note:
- No smoking and fires during fire band season (October to March)
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property.
- In order to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our cassette toilets a minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a hygienic experience during your stay.
