"Right across the street from the lake with gorgeous views from the kitchen table -- we fell in love with Donner Lake! The cabin was comfortable, but rustic as you'd expect for a mountain lake cabin (eg some damage to floors, janky interior doors, kitchen table wobbly). Dealing with Vacasa as a renter instead of an actual owner is always less personal and more commericalized ... eg they were happy to offer late check out, if we paid an additional fee$$ But overall we loved the location, there...

The creek behind the house was perfect for lounging in the sun and taking a cold dip, the house was well-appointed and comfortable, and we really enjoyed the grill and deck. "The house is super retro cute and a great location, near the Pub, beach, and ice cream. The only downside is that I'm a sensitive sleeper and got woken up a few times in the night by loud trucks or motorcycles coming down from the Pass, but it was minimal (and just me affected!). "This "cabin" is an architectural fantasy of design and architecture. It has all the amenities one would ask for. The decor theme was "rustic cabin" on steroids throughout. The sauna was huge, the master suite was delightful. I really enjoyed the shower and tub. The heat pump hydronic heat kept the place comfortable. If you have your passes you can ski in. You can enjoy all the Northstar HOA amenities during your stay. I would recommend this place to anyone!"
