"The cabin is exactly as described on VRBO. We had a little difficulty with the lockbox (probably because both my husband and I have arthritis in our hands). The lake is beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed evenings by the fire pit enjoying the lake. Great location as we visited the shipwreck museum and Mackinac Island. We also spent a day just enjoying the cabin, the lake, and watching movies. We thought we would miss internet but really enjoyed not having it. We wished that there was a bathroom...

"We had such an amazing stay at cabin 1. We both slept great on a very comfortable bed. Location is ideal for short day trips. We checked out whitefish point and Tahquamenon falls in the day and finish the night with a great bonfire right on the lake. Made sure to take advantage of both early sunrises over a nice cup of coffee. Carrie is very accommodating and Great suggestions that we took Paul for breakfast on our way out. We definitely will be booking this Cabin again in the future and...

We had a good time, fishing wasn’t that great when we were there, but that was the general experience with the others that were fishing on that lake. Can’t blame the hostess for that."

"This home was perfect for our 4-generation group! It was roomy and had a large driveway/parking area for our trucks and trailers. It was fully stocked with everything we needed and the kitchen was nice and large so we weren't tripping over ourselves. We even spent a little time lounging around the "campfire" (even though we didn't light a fire) and the kids did a little fishing. We would absolutely stay here again! Thanks for a wonderful home away from home!"

"Newberry was our “hub” to visit so many sites in eastern UP. From waterfalls to lighthouses to beaches to historic sites. And even a lingering monarch butterfly that hadn’t migrated south yet. This property is everything it claims to be! A full kitchen; lots of beds; comfortable. No doubt a great place for everyone and their “toys”!"

"This was a birthday weekend for my 70th birthday. I invited my two daughters their husbands and children along. Age ranges were 5 to 11+5 adults. The kids love the grass and the fire pit and the toys that were around. We brought a monopoly game and had an epic game that stretched several nights. The kitchen was very usable and easy to find things, well equipped. Beds were quite comfortable. Each of my daughter’s families took a bedroom, and I got the master. The smaller room did not have AC...

"Great location! Close to St Ignas and other local attractions. Cabin is nice and private. There are neighbors close but didn't even notice they were there. Bonus one of the few places that allow pets including dogs. Nice cabin with a big firepit (one nights worth of firewood provided) could have been a little cleaner. Grill was not in working order.Also no matches or basic spices. Town was so close it wasnt an issue. "
