"Lovely little cottage, well equipped . Friendly hosts. Really appreciated the welcome pack with Milk , teabags, biscuits etc , thank you 😍 Parking space is a bit tricky to access via a narrow drive , but not enough to stop us wanting to go back . Jack and Jill bathroom accessed from both bedrooms but one of the doors didn't lock properly so if travelling as friends need to know when the other is in the bathroom 😂 Overall really loved it here and would definitely go again "

"This is a beautiful little property set in a quiet location. The property is immaculate and the host very professional and friendly It’s an ideal location to visit the north coast. Recommend visiting the rising sun pub in Altarnun which is 10 mins drive away which is a traditional Cornish pub with excellent food."

"Beautiful property in a beautiful part of Cornwall. Located on a farm in the Higher Tregawne area. Perfect for a weeks stay, our converted barn was well equipped & had beautiful views across the north Cornish countryside. A nice touch was to find a selection of goodies incl. wine on our arrival. It would have been nice to meet our hosts at least once during our stay but unfortunately this wasn’t to be. Overall though, great value for money & we really enjoyed our stay."

"Overall the chalet was ok, but it is very dated, the sofa is very old with ripped cushions. The place just smells stale and dated. Having a pound meter in use is very old school and we just don’t carry change very often. So this is a pain. Would we come back.. no."

"We had a lovely stay in Thurlibeer House. It was perfect for the whole family, 12 of us in total, lots of space and bedrooms upstairs and downstairs for all. Host was on site if needed but left us to it. Beautiful outdoor space. Would certainly visit again."

"The cottage was really lovely, and a wonderful place to stay. We would highly recommend it. We loved being on the farm and my children loved the animals, especially the dogs and horses that would come to say hello. We loved the open plan cottage. The only thing I would mention is that I am not a confident hill driver - coming from Essex - and while I was aware of the steep road from Withiel, I wasn't aware of just how steep and single track it was. "We stayed in room 113. The view was expansive facing the sea and Tantegel castle. We arrived after Tantegel closed but took the hike from just outside the hotel grounds. It was beautiful. We had drinks in the bar and dinner in Irina’s restaurant. Excellent food and the staff were extremely kind!"

"Our stay was a special treat to end a holiday we were already on in Cornwall for the week ending 22/09/24 Everything was lovely & the hotel was interesting considering it was a prison!! All staff were helpful, polite & understanding, plus hard working considering they were under staffed in the restaurant, This I totally understand as I am also in the catering industry working as a Head Chef for gastro pub . The only problem which could have been a problem was I wasn’t asked if I had allergies...
