Italian Experience - Casale Agrimarino

Casale Agrimarino is a typical Marche farmhouse that is located a few kilometers from the famous beach of Senigallia in a strategic position with a breathtaking 360-degree view of the surrounding valley up to the coast with the tip of Monte Conero that frames it.
Il Casolare represents the perfect solution for families or groups of friends up to 15 people who want to spend their holidays together in peace away from the frenzy of the seafront but still in a strategic position to reach the main tourist attractions of the area in a few kilometers.
The restoration works have thought of everything a guest could wish for to enjoy a peaceful holiday with large spaces available both inside and outside, privacy, well-divided environments on two floors in the sleeping area, living area and a large garden for exclusive use equipped with swimming pool, garden furniture and relaxation areas.
The park that surrounds it collects the essence and spirit of the place, harmonious and generous with Mediterranean scents, interspersing green spaces with flower beds and aromatic plants with centuries-old olive trees.
From when you cross the gate to enter to when (alas) you let it vanish behind you, the background of your holiday is only chirping and rustling; if you love to walk and take long walks with your dog immersed in the quiet of the countryside, Casolare Agrimarino is the perfect place.
And to finish the day ... what could be better than a good glass of local wine sipped at sunset, in the most complete quiet of the garden admiring one of the many sunsets that nature offers us every evening, painting the surrounding hills with magical colors and enchanted.

Traveling in the Marche

AIRPORTS
The main transport hub of the Marche is the Adriatic port city of Ancona. International flights serve the Marche airport just northwest of the city, while ferries sail to and from destinations in Greece, Croatia and Albania.

PRIVATE CAR
You must be a good driver in the Marche; the streets are narrow and often steep. Fly to Ancona and rent a car. For speed, take the A14, which connects the entire region along its 111 miles of coastline, from Pesaro in the north to Ascoli Piceno in the south. For pleasure, drive along the state roads through the splendid landscapes of the Marche.

TRAINS
Once in the region, trains run along the coast and buses serve most of the inland towns and villages. Realistically though, you'll want your wheels to explore the region's verdant hinterland. The car rental service is available at the Marche airport and Ancona railway station.

THE AREA OF SENIGALLIA

Spiaggia di Velluto and the Rotonda a Mare are the tourist symbol of Senigallia but in addition to this what to do and what to see in Senigallia. Here it is! Senigallia is a splendid seaside resort in the province of Ancona, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Marche. Since 1997 it receives the Blue Flag every year for its clean waters, the services offered to tourists and the guaranteed safety on the beaches. It has a beautiful promenade of 14 kilometers, with beaches equipped with various bathing establishments and easy to use even with strollers or people with mobility problems, thanks to the presence of walkways that lead up to the beach.
Senigallia today is one of the most evocative seaside towns of the Marche, with a long sandy beach, made up of grains so small that it is worth the nickname "velvet beach".
Just 20 minutes by car are the famous beaches of the Conero Riviera such as Portonovo, Sirolo and Numana, renowned all over the world, where beach, sea and rocks come together to create a unique landscape.
Senigallia is located near the mouth of the Misa river, in a flat area surrounded by green hills that directly overlook the sea. On warm summer evenings the seafront comes alive with many clubs that play live music and restaurants, a stone's throw from the sea, which cook the excellent fish caught the day by the fishing boats that go out every day and sell their products at the market that takes place every day at the Foro Annonario.
The history of tourism dates back to the early 1900s and its symbol soon became the Rotonda a Mare, inaugurated in 1933. This beautiful building underwent several destructions and reconstructions, the last in recent years, in fact the Rotonda was reopened in the summer of 2006 with the intention of making it a privileged place for entertainment.
Senigallia is not only a beautiful seaside resort where you can spend holidays in the name of relaxation, sun and fun, but also a lovely old town with several palaces, churches and monuments that are worth seeing to fully appreciate the beauty of the city.
La Rocca is one of the most characteristic buildings to see in Senigallia, built as a defensive structure, over the centuries it saw the superimposition of different architectural styles, becoming not only a fortress but also the home of wealthy noble families.
Today it periodically hosts art exhibitions and cultural events.
Near the Rocca there are other buildings of a certain value: Palazzo del Duca, dating back to 1500 and strongly desired by the Della Rovere, inside is the splendid coffered ceiling that can be admired in the Throne Room;
Even the Foro Annonario, where the fruit, vegetable and fish market is held daily, has an architectural structure of some interest; designed in 1834 in neoclassical style, it is characterized by a circular portico with 24 Doric columns. Designed in 1834 by the Senigallian architect Pietro Ghinelli.

LE MARCHE - ITALY IN ONE REGION

ITALIAN SECRET

Le Marche is one of Italy’s best-kept secrets. Sandwiched between the Adriatic and its better known neighbours Tuscany and Umbria, this quiet and sparsely-populated region has long slipped under the travel radar. Yet with a string of charming hilltop towns and a landscape ranging from snow-capped Apennine peaks to dreamy beaches and otherworldly caves, it’s the perfect place to experience Italy without the crowds. Outstanding with their geometrical shapes and imposing appearance, Italian castles are not only awe-inspiring but absolutely marvelous – a splendor that is best observed in person. Interestingly, no two castles seem alike and each has unique features that correlate with historical events, natural surroundings, and political changes over the centuries.

RICH HISTORY

Few countries in the world are suffused with such a strong sense of historical continuity as Italy. From the myths that surround the birth of the Etruscan civilization to the foundation of United Italy in the 19thC, past and present are inextricably linked in a seamless web that stretches back over three millennia. This short account provides a thread to guide you through the labyrinth of this complex story. You'll find more detailed local history in the individual town pages.

RESTAURANTS

Marche is centrally located on the eastern Italian coast, nestling between the Apennine Mountains and the Adriatic Sea. The region is characterised by a rugged, mountainous inland and a beach-lined coast, dotted with quaint seaside towns. These variations in the region’s geography are also reflected in its food; seafood is popular, along with rural delicacies such as wild funghi, game, nuts and herbs and the region’s treasured truffles. Coniglio in porchetta, rabbit stuffed with wild fennel is a revered regional speciality, and traditional porchetta made with suckling pig and stuffed into rolls is a popular street food.

Autumn in Le Marche

If you are not fond of hot days and you love the beautiful mild sunny days, when the sun gently caresses your skin and senses, inviting you to spend time in the open air, why don’t you take the chance of a holiday in Marche in Autumn?

THE SCENT OF THE GRAPE HARVEST

Especially in the first part of autumn, the scents of the grape harvest invade the Marche hills. With must they make the typical, soft donuts that you can find in many local bakeries, must biscuits, perfect to be served with “vino cotto” (literally “cooked wine”) and “sughetti” (a kind of polenta made of must, corn flour and walnuts). When the must is cooked for a long time, sapa is produced: it is a sweet and sticky ingredient perfect for seasoning polenta and making cavallucci (a typical local biscuit). In Montecassiano the festival of sughitti is held during the last week of September. The oldest Sagra dell’Uva (wine festival) in Italy is held in Cupramontana at the beginning of October: it’s a festival with food, music, dances and, of course, Sir Wine.

OLIVE HARVEST & OLIVE OIL

One of the most magical moments in Marche, and in Italy in general, happens at the end of October / beginning of November: this is the month of the olive harvest, when you will see many people working around the olive ...
