Beautiful Getaway amazing views! Sleeps 6

Silas’s Hideaway is a newer home just outside of the town of Dushore in Sullivan County, nested on a hillside to enjoy the views.
We have very good internet, and a Very large 2 sided wrap around deck with deck chairs and table. Two bedrooms, Sleeps 6 with 3 Queen beds. All bed linens and pillows are provided. Bath is fully stocked with towels and bath. We have two the freestanding air conditioner units in kitchen living room areas, and one in the large bedroom, and a window unit in the other bedroom. We usually place the a/c units in towards the end of June. And are in place till cool weather arrives.
The kitchen has a gas stove, full size refrigerator with a ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender, mixer and coffee maker and a Keurig. Cabinets are stocked with dishes, glassware, silverware, pots pans and utensils for both the home and outdoor grill area.
Large open concept living area. With sofas, recliner, we have great internet service with smart TV, (so can access over 200 channels also you are able to sign into your Netflix, You Tube, etc accounts) and a DVD player with movies, and a stereo and speakers .
Silas Hideaway has a stone stacked fire pit which features two custom made bench. We took a 100 year old piece of farm equipment apart and turned it into bench’s.
Also bring your charcoal we have a park style grill right off the back deck of the home with quick easy access to the kitchen.

Something we have invested in UV Germicidal lamps, we use these after each guest leave , for disinfection. Also our home is throughly cleaned after all guests leave.

Silas’s Hideaway is located near Worlds End State Park and Ricketts Glen State Park.

A quick weekend

This house was exactly as described and perfectly what we needed when in town visiting family. While we did not spend much time at the house, it was fully stocked with anything and everything you may need (and didnt even know you needed) in a home away from home! Highly recommend.

Exceeded expectations

This was the perfect place for our family of 4 to spend the last two nights of a very busy camping/hiking trip. After spending some time hiking at Worlds End State Park we stayed here. I realaxed on the porch while my husband and sons went fishing. A nice little reprieve. Hit the three C's...cute, comfy, and clean. Host was great to work with as well.

Fun for all

My husband & I planned on a relaxing weekend away but we wound up taking 2 of our grandkids along. Two boys ages 13 & 4. It wasnt relaxing as we originally planned but we very much enjoyed our time away together as did tthe gas did both grandkids!

Clean place, convenient terrible shower

This place is very clean and it has just one floor. It’s very close to Dushore and has a great and well stocked kitchen. The beds are comfortable and the heating and AC work well. My biggest issues is the shower. I don’t usually like very hot water when I shower but this shower was barely above body temperature. We spoke to the owners, but didn’t do anything or came to check on it. The view is ok. There is a highway right in front. I probably would not stay here again.

Beautiful view! House was well equipped, decorated for fall, clean, and very comfortable. We enjoyed conversations around the fire pit and coffee on the front deck! Would definitely stay here again if we were ever back in the area! While we were there we ate at Pam’s for breakfast (highly recommend) and Mary Beth’s Deli, in Dushore, both were very good! On our way there we visited Worlds End State Park and ate at the Barn tavern (tasty). We also enjoyed the scenery and hiked at Rickets Glen.

Another great trip

This was our third time staying here and once again it did not disappoint! The location is perfect for us with our two children. We loved using the fire pit and sitting on the deck. The home is in a convenient location close to town and within minutes of all major attractions. Very clean and cozy. We will absolutely be back again.

A No-Brainer

After looking at a dozen or more places in the area of Dushore (on line), I happened on Silas Hideaway and grabbed it. It was exactly as advertised, perfect for the three of us "seniors" - easy access, clean, all the conveniences from beautiful linens to coffee pots, nightlites to ice cubes.....the perfect end to a long day of traveling.

Great location, great layout

This house was immaculate! I really loved the kitchen layout with the huge counter that allowed me to organize the day’s activities and also kept the kitchen open to the amazing view. Air conditioning was much appreciated, WiFi worked great, location was quiet and private but just a minute from downtown Dushore.

Silas Lane is picturesque and peaceful

Up on a ledge of a hill, the house has a balcony with a beautiful view. We are 20 minutes away from our favorite state park, and everyone loves the added benefits of this place.

This home offers a huge porch with gorgeous views. Owners keep this property perfectly clean, with comfortable well-made up beds. Spacious kitchen with long counter is well-supplied . Lovely home for small family group or 1-2 couples.

Wow!

The wife and I decided to take a spur of the moment trip, so we got on Google and looked around and came across this gem! We booked it and a few days later arrived. This place was insanely clean, has everything you would ever need for a quick or even an extended stay. Everything about this place was amazing and there's no doubt we will be returning

Loved it

Thank you for our stay here! Our 13 year old loved having her own room. The kitchen was very well equipped and we cooked most of our meals. The view was awesome. We will be back for sure!
