Cozy Treehouse Cottage - can sleep 8 with airbeds - sleeps 4 without air beds

This 110+ year old, home just outside Historic Potwin, near Edgewood park, hospitals, and downtown Topeka has a unique design. The upstairs with vaulted ceilings and lovely treetop views has a living room, bedroom with queen size bed and bathroom with claw foot tub. The downstairs has a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living room, bedroom with queen size bed and bathroom with stand up shower. The outdoor space comes equipped with a wagon for riding kiddos to the park and wood for fire pit. (S’more kit included) Free outdoor fitness center at Willow park, within walking distance. Edgewood park is only1/2 block away and has a basketball goal and tennis courts for your entertainment! Sports equipment is stored by the back door. Go play some tennis! Or set up badminton in the backyard. Everything you need is also stored by the back door on the shelf. You can’t beat this beautiful neighborhood with Victorian homes tucked away near I-70, downtown, and hospitals.

Wonderful stop on cross-country journey
What a cool place this is, nestled in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood of Victorians and other older houses, with kids playing outside and kitties on front porches. Reminds me of my childhood a million years ago! The house has character, and was a great overnight stay for me and my young dog, Willie, as we drive from the East Coast back to California.The downstairs has a bedroom and small bathroom, along with kitchen, dining and living rooms, so we never even ventured upstairs. Some of the things I appreciated: the fenced yard, the warm and comfy living room, and having a washing machine four days into our journey. Finally, Haley couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful, going out of her way to make things perfect for us and responding quickly to my questions. Thank you, Haley!

Great stay!
The treehouse was an adorable house! We loved our stay here! The house has so much character. The host was very helpful and communicative! We had a group of 7 and it was perfect with the air mattresses. Although the second air mattress is only a twin size so it might be difficult to have 8 people stay. Otherwise we had a fantastic stay. Highly recommend!

It was not as nice as the pictures believed it to me
We did not stay we got there and was extremely disappointed in the property it is not in a safe part of town and the outside was not taken care of at all. There is nothing treehouse about this. There was junk in the yard. The exterior of the house was in bad shape It is frustrating when you’re unfamiliar with an area you’ve paid your money and you know nothing till you walk up to it and then you’re not allowed to get money back

Great place
Enjoyed staying at the Treetop Cottage. Only spent one night but felt very comfortable. Nice fenced in backyard. No issues other than getting used to the uneven floors, especially from the dining room to the kitchen.

Brothers visit
The house was clean except we found a free style libre sensor on the floor and my sister steeped on it. I understand the Ants. But It appeared they were coming from the basement door. Also, your Vrbo ad says there is 1 Queen bed in Bedroom 1, 1 Queen bed in room 2, 1 Double Futon (understand it was broke) AND 1 Twin Bed in Common area 1, and 1 Queen Bed and 1 Child Bed in Common area 2 and there was also air beds. Beds are not the same as Air Beds. We figured we would have at least 3 beds for adults, The other thing is at least 1 air bed wouldn't hold air. My family didn't want me to contact you while we were there because they didn't want someone coming in with all there stuff there. So besides the ants, beds and unlevel floors. We loved the place. It was very homey. Thank you for letting us stay in your home. Please dont take this the wrong way, but here is some advice, Have larger coffee cups, and maybe more comfortable chairs in living room and Dining room. Thank you again

Great hotel alternative!
I was in Kansas on business with a friend/co-worker and it was a nice change from staying in a hotel. Very clean, cute, historic home! Even though it was 101 degrees when we arrived the house was cool and comfortable. The beds were also very comfortable, something I find lacking in hotels. Would definitely stay again!

We were here for a quick one night stay, arrived late so were bummed we did not have more time to enjoy the space. There were only two of us but this would be a really fun and easy place for a family or two to stay. Very convenient, comfortable living spaces, games, TV’s, kitchen, and bathrooms, everything you could need. Charming old house with the quirks we are used to as we also have an old house. Yard looked nice too. Very convenient location and responsive host. Thank you!

Quiet and quaint
Quiet neighborhood, two blocks from a small park, convenient to I-70. We were in town for a wedding, so we didn’t spend a lot of time in the house. I would definitely rent it again if I am in Topeka.

Nice, cozy old house
We enjoyed our stay at this rental, and were happy to stay again on our return from visiting family. I loved that it was close to the interstate as we were just traveling through and needed a place to stay for the night. It is close to gas and a Walmart, and my little girls loved playing in the fenced in yard. There is also a small park nearby for anyone who needs to stretch their legs a bit more. It is an old home, and the main level floors are uneven with bulges and dips in places which may be of putting to some, though we didn’t mind. Communication was good, though we did have to wait until near official check-in time to get the door code, which could be slightly stressful to some who are actually checking in at that time. Overall, it was a good stay, and I will definitely consider it next time we travel through that way.

It was lovely
I flew in for my niece birthday and stayed at this property for the following weekend. Unfortunately, it was horribly cold in Kansas so we didn't get to enjoy the outside space. The home was big enough to have my family come visit us so I didn't have to run around with my two year old in -20° weather. The beds were comfy. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Appreciated the upstairs couch way more than the downstairs one. Futons are convenient but never comfortable. 🙃 We truly enjoyed our stay! The host communicated well and was very kind. Will definitely be staying again when we're back in town!

We had a great time! Adult son and grandkids live in topeka. It was a great place for them to come and go with work and life while still enjoying time together. It snowed late one evening and the owner was there shoveling snow! I felt bad because we weren't going out but that was some good service!!

Cute, Quaint, Quiet, Nice Neighborhood!
I was very impressed by this home. The neighborhood has a lot of families, walkable to the park, and quiet. We were in Topeka for a wedding and the recommended hotel was full so I booked this house. I absolutely loved it! It was very clean and the host had lots of cute touches throughout such as a fire pit with smore's kit and games. I was able to bring my aging dog and was excited not to have to leave him at a boarding facility. I will stay again as we do sometimes come to Topeka for family! It was perfect for two couples because it is basically similar to two separate apartments in one house.

Quiet retreat
Safe and quiet neighborhood. Very convenient to shopping and dining, but without the traffic. House has been setup nicely. Owner was fabulous, making sure we had all we needed. Beds were comfortable. House was very clean.
