Birch Lake Secluded Getaway LLC is the perfect destination for your next vacation. Enjoy the peaceful country setting away from the maddening crowd. Our 12-acre resort is situated in the beautiful hills of Midwestern Wisconsin, complete with a private 3.5-acre spring-fed lake, four beaches, and four homes located 100 feet apart, allowing for a safe and private getaway. Our lake is stocked with bass and bluegill, and each house is equipped with a hot tub, indoor fireplace, flat-screen TV, full kitchen, and central air, making it perfect for all types of travelers. Come and experience the beauty of Birch Lake!

Birch Lake Getaway is a 12-acre secluded resort with 4 lakeside vacation rental homes (cabins) all listed on Vrbo and conveniently located in the rolling hills of central Wisconsin. It has a 3 1/2 acre spring-fed fishing and swimming lake complete with four beaches, a lake observation deck, and a beach shack.

There are also open areas where we have our volleyball & badminton net set up as well as our gazebo, another fire pit and plenty of space for whatever else you may have in mind.

For larger groups, Birch Lake can accommodate up to 44 people overnight for weddings, company retreats, family reunions, church trips & any other type of large get-together’s.

Family Get-a-way
Loved having access to a paddle and rowboat. The trampoline in the lake was a hit. Grandkids loved all the turtles. Badminton, volleyball, and table tennis all available. Very nice get-a-way vacation for us.

Solid place for a large group
I hosted my brother’s bachelor party here for a weekend, and everyone was very pleased overall. It is not a particularly new or clean place, true to its rural WI setting, but it is perfectly suited to a group and has great communal spaces both indoor and outdoor. Note that this is a BARE BONES place, you have to bring many of your own essentials. Be very thoughtful/planful! We thought we had everything but forgot some kind of utensil to clean dishes with. Lastly, note that there is not really internet access here. And depending on your wireless provider there may or may not be service.

Other than the fact that we came in the blizzard of Jan. 2024, this place was perfect for us. It had more than ample space for 11 people to sleep. The hot tub was an added bonus for a few of our group. One slept next to the fireplace on our last night. The only downside we had, and thats no fault of anyone but mother nature, was it can be difficult to find on the backroads of Tomah in a snow storm. They did a great job keeping us plowed out. Overall, we were all very happy with our stay and will be back!

Family time
We had a group of 9, including our adult children, significant others and our 2 year old Granddaughter. The spiral staircase was scary with a toddler. Bring your own baby gates. Everyone had room to spread out and join together. Perfect for our needs. The beds were ok but the mattresses could use an upgrade. The main floor furniture was a bit warn out and not the most comfortable, but it worked. Everything else was great.

The house was roomy and set up well for a large group of people. The seating areas and decks were a beautiful place to sit and enjoy the outdoors. The place definitely needed a good deep cleaning. We had a wonderful time, but that being said, we’ve stayed at many places at this price with simple amenities like garbage bags included. The spring fed pond, is not a lake as described which I would also make more clear in the description. Swimming was not for the faint of heart. We had very warm days and the A/C did not keep up- it was a struggle to get it below 84 degrees.

BEST Vacation EVER!
Absolutely LOVED our stay! Property is beyond beautiful with plenty of space for my family. We all thought the turtles (which other people complained about) were cute and charming, and don’t snap at people. House was clean and we liked all the information notices posted about fishing, Wi-Fi, etc. We all decided that this is going to be our yearly family vacation destination. Thank you Terry for an awesome vacation:)

Awesome space
We were able to spend a fun week with our four adult children and their spouses or significant others in addition to four small grandchildren. There was enough space for everyone to have a good place to sleep, and enough indoor space that we could hang out together or separately, even on rainy days when we didn’t go out. There’s lots of porch and table space outside as well as chairs for around the fire pit, chairs by the beach, and space on the dock on a quiet lake. Loved our time there.

clean charge what a rip off all they do is change the sheets. Beach okay across the lake when piics. showed right out the back door where we could see the beach. Water slim, snapping turtles all over no one can swim in the lake. We paid for this convience and did't get it. Railing ready to fall off no internet even though it said there was.

Beautiful location
This is my first time to stay at a self cleaning location. Beautiful location and Mr. Terry is very kind and helpful. If coming make sure you pack supplies needed! Many of us have allergies and a couple asthma. Mr. Terry sent staff to handle a couple issues we had with cleaning. Make sure you inform him quickly so he can start that process if there is an issue.

Happy but disappointed
We enjoyed the house and the location very much however, we had some complaints that we did address to the owner. Nothing was absolutely terrible but the were legit complaints. When I addressed them to the owner I received basically an apology but nothing more.

Beautiful Spacious Getaway/ Owners were excellent hosts
For the nightly rate and quality of the the property, this place was an amazing find! Our group had 11 people for a quiet bachelorette party. We mostly hung out at the cabin around the fire and enjoyed the hot tub. Enough rooms and bathrooms for our entire party. I was personally impressed with the water heater. Nine people of our group needed to shower before heading out for dinner plans and no one was left without hot water. I was the last of our group to shower and the hot water was still going strong! One more personal detail that I was impressed with was the level of communication from the owner Terry. My family had experienced a few unexpected life events to which I (the person who booked my party’s stay) would not be able to check-in. I was concerned there would be an issue, but there was none. I was able to communicate with Terry right away and they were very understanding. Their response time was impeccable. It was comforting to know that the owners/hosts were reachable at anytime. The place is beautiful. The property is so peaceful and spacious. The rate is seriously unbeatable. The hosts were so fantastic with their level of communication and transparency. I would absolutely recommend staying here and I will absolutely stay again! Thanks Terry and Co! -Lisa 11/13/22 to 11/15/22

Great place to have a family get together.
Plenty of room for a family gathering. Lots of space for relaxing both outdoors (we couldn’t utilize this area because it rained all weekend), and indoor. Didn’t use the hot tub, but it looked fine. The ping pong table was fun.

Property was nice and offered plenty to do. It is a little run down and was not super clean in kitchen we found dirty silverware in drawer. The mouse that was out on countertops and sink each night pooping all around the sink area was an unsettling feeling while on a mini vacation. We had to move food and sanitize everything each morning. The lower cupboards were very filthy and that was where they keep the clean cookware. Hot Tub looked to have black mold on inside of cover. We spent most of our time outside which was nice, but we would need the inside to improve a bit in order for us to return.

The Name Fits!
The property was everything we were looking for and more! This was a girl's weekend, with 3 of us. We each had a level to ourselves (bed and bathroom). An absolutely gorgeous setting. The name of the house is Serenity and it certainly is a perfect description of our stay. We'll definitely be coming back, and recommending it to all of our friends and family! There are 4 other cabin/houses all on a secluded little lake. It was frozen for our stay in March, but still serene.

We had a great time. The beds were comfortable and perfect for our stay. I would recommend a couple steps to get into and out of the hot tub for safety. Also, an accessible HDMI port to the TV so we could hook into it with another media device since there is no internet/WiFi would be helpful. It was a very comfortable stay!

Nice house
The house is at a nice location which is what we were looking for (about 15 minutes out of town). We’ve stayed at one of Terri’s homes in the past and he is very easy to communicate with and very responsive. Loved that the ice rink was cleaned off but didn’t get to use it because it was too cold. The only complaint we have is the couches in the main living room are old and very uncomfortable. Since it was a winter trip we spent most of our time indoors. We highly recommend getting new one’s.

Had a wonderful stay in the serentity cabin! Despite the cold weather everyone had a great time playing ping-pong and hanging out in the hot tub. The cabin was perfect and obtained glorious views. Fun trails to hike near property as well.
