Property is located in a mainly residential area just off “kitchen shopping street”. It’s a long walk to the closest transit station Tawaramachi on the Ginza line. There are a few scattered restaurants close to the hotel, but again a bit of a walk to get to the hub of activity closer to Asakusa station and Sensoji Temple. My biggest problem with our stay was the lack of action by management on a soaking wet carpet in our room on our arrival. The hotel manager came up to our room and attempted to soak up the water with paper towels, not addressing the source to the water leak. He said housekeeping probably spilled some water while cleaning the room. This was not the case and shortly afterwards the carpet was soaked again. No immediate and acceptable resolution was offered. He suggested an option would be for us to find another hotel to stay at and he would allow us to cancel our reservation without penalty. Not much of an option as it was late in the day and my family was tired after travelling all day. We ended up just staying in the room with the wet carpet and water leak as we only had a 2 night stay in this part of Tokyo. Just poor hotel management to sell a room with a water leak and soaking wet carpet. And when confronted, not being able to provide a suitable resolution. After our initial interaction with management, there was no further following to check on the water leak and condition of the room.
