September 3, 2024 - Lake starts down gradually from Normal (1865.0 elevation)
September 16, 2024 - Lake is one foot down (1864.0 elevation)
November 1, 2024 - Lake starts down gradually to (1862.5 elevation)
March 1, 2025 - Lake starts up gradually from 2.5 feet down (1862.5 elevation)
May 1, 2025 - Lake is back to Normal summer pool (1865.0 elevation)
Private Boat Instructions and Docking Information:
If you are bringing a private boat to utilize on Lake Burton, you will need to use the provided public boat ramps. Boaters will have winter public boat access to the lake at a ramp at Murray Cove, and another ramp is located at Moccasin Creek State Park. Georgia Power provides a boat ramp and parking just north of Lake Burton on the Tallulah River for paddlers.
Docking Information:
Single boat house slip available.
Georgia fishing license required for fishing on the property. Licenses can be purchased online for as low as $5/day.
Guests will have access to the small blue canoe outside of the boat house but the boathouse is private. Life Jackets are not included, please use the boat at your own risk.
