Despite the fact that Steve had only just got out of hospital after a hip operation and clearly in pain, he did everything possible to make me welcome and comfortable. Rooms recently completely refurbished, well-pointed and warm. Great land scaping projects in the garden ready for the summer to make wonderful sitting out areas. "Staff were a delight the entire stay. Room (1) was beautiful and clean, with windows on 3 sides (excellent for a breeze), lovely roll top bed, comfy mattress and very nice modern bathroom. Bathrobes were a nice touch. Ate at the hotel Saturday night and it was superb. Scotch egg was delicious, pork fabulous and the pizza was gorgeous. Excellent wine selection and utterly superb soft drink (bottles in the fridge) range. Breakfast was really good. Yoghurt, fruits and cereal, then cooked...
