"Had a lovely 1 night stay at this historic hotel. The interiors are dated but that is part of the charm. The staff were so helpful and friendly, we had an upgrade on our room because hotels.com had overbooked and the staff were very good about it. The room and bed were comfortable, but the kettle was a bit rubbish and not convenient to use (it was connected to the plug which was behind the television) The breakfast was pretty average, not the best but you had enough options. "Staff were fantastic. Hotel building and location were amazing. Great views across to the straights and mountains. Breakfast was really good, dinner was ok. Main issue was that we were not in the main building but a separate one (lodge). Walls there are paper thin unfortunately and could hear everything in room next door. Boiler from room nextdoor was also super loud. Not great for 200 a night! I'm sure the rooms in the main building are much better so would be good to come back and stay in them...

"We enjoyed our short stay. The house is big, with a garden with swings etc our child and we loved, a decked terrace to enjoy the views, dedicated barbecue area etc. Spacious bedrooms. The beach and town centre is only a short walk away. It was great to have all the essentials made available. Hope we can return one day with our extended family! "

"Realmente merece todas as boas avaliações. A dona é uma simpatia e me recebeu cheia de sorrisos e ainda teve a gentileza de mostrar todos os quartos da casa e me deixar escolher. Peguei um enorme,com varanda na muralha do castelo e de frente para o mar. A decoração e aconchegante e o banheiro super moderno,tendo até banheira. A localização é perfeita e dá pra fazer tudo a pé. O estacionamento é na rua mesmo ,mas não houve dificuldade em achar vaga. Se posso dizer um ponto negativo é o fato do...

"The staff were great and room 22 was perfect with a large bed and plenty of space. We ate at the hotel on our second night and the food was tasty and sufficient. However one meal came out cold and had to be reheated. Our waitress did give us a discount for this. On our last morning there was no water, but not the hotel’s fault as a main had burst. Overall a very nice experience."

"We loved this place and the owner was so helpful, friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious. Our room was large and spacious with a great bathroom. We had everything we needed and more. We appreciated the parking right at the inn. Situated across the motorway from the sea, this unique place provided an excellent oasis to recharge and go walking by the ocean. Definitely recommend it."
