"We were visited daily by deer: a buck, doe and several young ones. The ocean glimmers, the stars come out at night, and you can snuggle in front of the lovely fireplace. The location gives you easy access to Gualala and the Sea Ranch Lodge. Be sure to read the Independent Coast Observer newspaper and listen to KGUA radio 88.3 FM to find out about all the local events. Pipers Reach is clean and comfortable. You'll really enjoy your stay."

"House was extremely well equipped, hot tub was in excellent working order. Great views from the patio and very close to coastal hiking trails. Saw lots of wildlife (deer, turkeys, gray fox) and marine life (whales and sea lions), and really enjoyed the deer and turkeys in our front yard every morning. The only negative was window screens that were non-existent or in need of repair, overall it was a great experience and would recommend."

"We were able to enjoy the beach/ocean views from the house windows and from 2 patios. The large garden entrance with hot tub was relaxing. The property was enclosed by a fence and felt very secure and safe. Mostly we loved sitting on the deck, watching the ocean and wild life and walking along the coast and observing the changing ocean views."

"This was a lovely house just a short walk from the bluffs, and with views of the ocean from the living room and the small upper deck (which would be great for whales, in season). The house was cozy and we stayed in and cooked almost every night. The kitchen is amazing -- a beautiful Viking gas stove and huge hood that allowed for high heat cooking and feasts. We would definitely stay there again!"

"I’m obsessed with how cute and lovely this stay was, we really felt spoiled by Valerie! The house was well designed, spotless, and even had a fridge fully stocked with yogurt and almond milk and delicious granola. "The place is very nice, has multiple nice living areas and places to hang out. Downstairs has two queen bedrooms one with an en suite bathroom. The upstairs bedroom has a pair of twin beds and just outside the upstairs bedroom a loft area with a large couch. The upstairs area is better suited to kids. The beds upstairs are uncomfortable and we ended up sleeping on the couch. They are older mattresses on a flat wood platform. I would recommend changing out the mattresses and adding a box...

"The house itself seemed way over priced for the quality and cleanliness. Upon arrival, curtains were missing from all the window coverings. Thankfully we found them laying in the closets and were able to put a few on. We pulled out the couch bed, and it was completely dirty and stained with what appeared to be blood. The girl ended up having to fold the couch bed back up and just sleep on the couch without any sheets. We found extra blankets in the closet for her, but they were all soiled. She...

"This would be a five-star review in all aspects except for a few maintenance issues that need attention: 1. Some light bulbs need to be replaced: one in the entry hall, one at ceiling level in the living room area, and one under-cabinet light in the kitchen. 2. The guest bath sink drain plug is inoperable. 3. The guest bathroom toilet paper dispenser falls apart when used. With these maintenance issues addressed, we’d highly recommend this home for a quiet retreat for a couple. "

"This is one of the older homes on the Sea Ranch with a spectacular view and an excellent location for most of the attractions and activities at Sea Ranch. The home has been updated so most required appliances function are in good condition and function well. Primary heating is the fireplace with 3 space heaters for the bedrooms. We've stayed here before and asked in advance to ensure the BBQ was working (it was) and there were enough space heaters for all 3 bedrooms (there were). There was not...
