"Only spent one night here, very comfortable room and friendly helpful staff. Shopping mall opposite and places to eat nearby, breakfast was also good "
"Close to motorway but tucked away from any noise. Large car park, large pub and lots of amenities on your doorstep.
Limited Internet was my only problem but it may have been due to the storm."

"This is a lovely historic hotel and we enjoyed our stay apart from one thing (but this was promptly rectified) : initially we had a front bedroom facing the road which was busy and noisy all through the night. Fortunately we were able to upgrade to a rear bedroom which was wonderfully spacious and with much better facilities. The staff were very pleasant, polite and efficient, the hotel was fascinating and well-kept, and we would certainly stay there again."
"This hotel is in a good location with shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. It is a great value for money. The rooms are spacious and it was great to have iron, fan and hairdryer in the room. If there was aircon I would give it 5 stars in all areas. However it won't refrain me from returning. I will come back again. "

"The hotel is good for a short stay, but I was disappointed with the family rooms. The rollaway beds are extremely uncomfortable; they have barely any foam, and you can feel the springs digging into your back, making it unbearable to sleep. This might make me consider staying at Travelodge next time, as their beds are much more comfortable. I strongly recommend investing in new rollaway beds because the current ones are terrible. "This was my first stay. Friendly and helpful reception experience. Lovely spacious room with all facilities needed including ample wardrobe space with hangers and iron/ironing board. Good views from top floor and fantastic aircon which was very much needed as it was a London heatwave. All employees were exceptional. Breakfast was plentiful and good. Very friendly welcome from employees and locals in the bar during the evenings. Would highly recommend."
