"It is a brand new facility and we had a comfortable stay. Reception was lovely and welcoming. The door to the room is super heavy and someone with mobility issues may struggle to push it open or hold it open to get suitcases in or out. A list of available tv channels would be helpful. Lighting in bathroom over vanity poor especially when trying to put makeup on"

"My husband and I booked the Penguin beach house as a place for us and our 3 year old daughter to rest after the excitement of crossing on the boat. It was a wonderful place to stay. The heater had been left on for us so when we arrived on a frosty June morning, the house was warm and inviting. The house had a friendly fee and contained everything you could want. The shower was amazing!!"

"We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the White House and we would have loved to stay longer. The views from the 2nd level are amazing over Boat Harbour beach and the home is so beautifully furnished. Every detail and need has been thought of from a very well equipped kitchen, beach towels, bathroom extras and beautiful quality linen on the comfy beds. We've stayed in many holiday homes over time and my family said on a number of occasions that White House was the best one yet. We highly recommend...

"We arrived to a very nice heated house which was spotless and very welcoming. Once unpack the owner , Terry , arrived to great us and make sure very thing was ok. Very friendly and helpful owner. The house has beach front views and is very roomy with everything we needed for our 4 night stay. "The property was difficult to find but once it was, it was good. The main front door had no lock. It had clearly been kicked in prior to me checking in as it was split through the door mechanism. However, the screen door did lock. There was still a feeling of insecurity though. Otherwise, the bedroom, kitchen and lounge were all clean. I enjoyed my stay. Thank you"

Paying a premium nightly rate, in our opinion it was quite unreasonable to ask guests to water the plants & put the rubbish bins out into the street. "This was a great facility to base ourselves for our trip out to Stanley, and exploring Burnie. It was an older accomodation, but clean and the owners are working on renovating them. The staff were friendly and were informative of the area and what to go and do and where to eat. The beds were comfy, it had everything we needed for our stay. It is on Bass highway, so it is noisy. It is directly opposite the ocean, with a brilliant walkway that you can see the penguins from. "
