Commanding views, a wraparound 3-story/2000 sqft deck, and a hot tub allow for amazing indoor/outdoor living in this 3500+ sqft mountain home!

Nestled among the whispering aspens in the Ski Ranches, this 4BR home on 2 acres offers plenty of space to sprawl out. Take your pick between three indoor hangout zones and a stunning outdoor space.

Colorado has 300 days of sunshine a year, and Wapiti Mountain Escape is ready to help you enjoy them all from a sprawling wraparound deck complete with loungers, Adirondacks, a fire table, a BBQ (hardline gas Weber grill), and an al fresco dining space with seating for 8-10. You'll even find a luxurious hot tub, the perfect place to soak as you gaze toward the surrounding trees with the San Juan mountains as your backdrop.

The Wapiti Mountain Escape is located in the Ski Ranches neighborhood of Mountain Village, which offers privacy and great views. The Mountain Village Core and the ski slopes are just a short drive away, and hiking, biking, and plenty of other outdoor activities are right outside your front door. When driving up to Wapiti Mountain Escape, you'll notice access 150 yards before the driveway to Ski Ranches' Snowshoe Trail, which allows great hiking year-round.

Beds Per Sleeping Room: King, Queen, Queen, 3 Queens, Pull-Out Couch

Guests may enter this home through the main entrance or the heated two car garage. Through the main entrance, you are welcomed into a soaring open living space with a living room, dining room, and kitchen. A powder room and storage for ski and hiking gear are by the front door.

The vaulted living room offers floor-to-ceiling windows, plenty of seating for entertaining or relaxing, a wood-burning fireplace (not available for guests), and a flatscreen TV. Within the entertainment counsel, you'll find a large selection of games, puzzles, and local hiking, fishing, and fauna books available for guest use.

A multi-CD player with a vast music selection may be enjoyed through Bose speakers. The living and dining rooms and the front entrance provide first-floor access to the wraparound deck. Wireless internet is available indoors and outdoors via a strong fiber connection, allowing for seamless remote working or entertainment.

The adjacent dining room has seating for 10 at a large, welcoming table with a banquet, which makes serving big parties stress-free.

The open and spacious kitchen offers plenty of counter space for preparing any meal. The stainless steel appliances include a four-burner gas stove, double ovens, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, stand mixer, and coffeemaker. The well-stocked kitchen, a walk-in pantry, a second prep sink, and a second refrigerator (in the garage) make gourmet meals and extended stays easy.

The two-car garage is up a half-flight of stairs. Continuing up another half flight of stairs is the primary bedroom, which has soaring ceilings, a king bed, and access to a large, private exterior deck with seating. The ensuite bathroom has a large double vanity, a separate water closet, and a step-in shower/tub combination with a glass surround and window. Guests are welcome to "Take A Book/Leave A Book" from the primary bedroom's book wall collection for their enjoyment.

Up another half flight of stairs is a spacious family room, which offers a separate living space for families to spread out. The room has a flatscreen TV, a comfortable sectional couch that pulls out to a bed, a game table for four, a small desk/ office area, and is stocked with kids' games and toys in a large toy chest.

Downstairs from the main entrance on the lower level is another living space with sliding door access to a lower deck, a private hot tub, and an outdoor couch. This level also boasts a large laundry room and two bedrooms, each with a queen bed that share a jack-and-jill bathroom, also accessible from the living area. The bathroom has a dual vanity and a separate lock-off with a shower/tub combo and a glass enclosure.

A large fourth bedroom is up a half flight of stairs and is excellent for kids. It has three queen beds and an ensuite bathroom. The bathroom has a single vanity and a shower/tub combo with a glass enclosure.

- Due to Telluride’s mountain breeze, there is no A/C at this property. Ceiling fans are in vaulted areas and rotating fans are available in bedrooms.
- The fireplace is not available for guest use.
- Telluride experiences "off-seasons" in the spring and fall. Many services are not available to travelers. Please check activities/restaurants/home amenities, etc. when booking these dates.
- When renting this home in the winter we recommend 4x4 vehicles or chains, as the property is located at the bottom of an incline. The road and driveway is plowed regularly however snow and ice may intermittently accumulate.
- Please note; As a ski town, many construction projects happen around town all summer. Working hours are 8 am-7 pm.
- Please note that the golf course is members-only, and guests do not have access to it.

Parking Details:
- 3 cars can be parked onsite.
- Please ensure to not block the guest house garage/entrance.
- No street parking.

Accidental Damage Protection: A non-refundable accidental damage protection plan has been included in the price of your reservation. Under this plan, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $2000. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets. This plan is not available for reservations 28 days or longer or reservations that require a security deposit.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

Mountain Run Celebration
We were here with two different families and friends to cheer on our runners for the 40mile Telluride Mountain Run. The home is welcoming and well stocked, especially if you are a chef! The beds are very comfortable and the room arrangements allow for wonderful gathering places as well as privacy when you need it. The hot tub was enjoyed especially after the race and the views from the decks perfectly frame the surrounding mountains. It is perfectly situated, close enough to town yet one is able to relax and take in the surrounding beauty in solitude. We would certainly stay here again when we return to the area.

Mountain Views and sunshine
Came here for a week long family trip. The condo was spacious, kitchen was amazing, and the views from the porch and hot tub were incredible. Photos don’t do it justice, you’re surrounded by mountains and beautiful aspen trees. Sun floods into the living room every morning and evening. Hot tub was so nice after hiking. Convenient location near downtown telluride and lizards pass for hiking and trout lake.
