"Only issue was that the hot water was switched off and we hadn't been provided with any information about how to switch it back on again. We followed up with the owner once we discovered this and they were able to provide a PDF copy of instructions, which should have been emailed to us ahead of time but wasn't. This could have been remedied by providing a printed copy of the information onsite. Particularly important given there is no cell reception or wifi at the property."

"This was a lovely vacation home for a weekend in Akaroa. It was a little adventurous getting up and down the driveway with a campervan, but doable. Once there, the views are fantastic and it is truly a pretty easy walk to town. Kitchen was well stocked for basic cooking and bathrooms have nice amenities like heaters and heated towel racks. It was a lovely stay and we recommend it without reservation. "

"Lovely comfortable home for extended family stay. Once firewood was sorted (thankyou) fire was great for heating whole house. Spectacular views from main bedroom and lounge plus decks. "This home is beautiful and very accessible to the town of Christchurch and surrounding attractions. My children loved the pool and the kitchen was very user friendly and spacious. The only complaint was that there were not many hangers in each room and limited towels. "the toilet next to the third bedroom! Beautiful cottage in wonderful location. Garden exquisite. BUT, the bedroom next to the toilet allowed for no privacy whatsoever. Either recommend as a two-bedroom property, or owner should seal off the toilet entrance to the third bedroom. Thankfully, the three of us who shared the property are very close friends, but neverthless found the bathroom situation rather embarrassing and disturbing. Didn't spoil our stay but wouldn't return in view of this....
